      CONCERTS

      Austrian black-metal band Belphegor, with guests Origin, Shining, and Abigail Williams, takes the stage at the Rickshaw Theatre.

      As part of the PNE Summer Night Concerts series, Alan Doyle & the Beautiful Gypsies headline at the PNE Amphitheatre.

      Walk through the forest with a First Nations guide and learn about the traditional and present-day Coast Salish relationships with local flora and fauna. Held at Stanley Park.

      At the Sunset Series, the City of Richmond presents live music, movie screenings, a free YYoga class, beach volleyball and food trucks. Held at the Richmond Olympic Oval.

       

      FOOD AND DRINK

      The Eighth Annual Garlic Festival includes cuisine made by local chefs, a children's area, a farmers market, free workshops, cooking demonstrations, community exhibitors, and garlic for sale. Held at the Terra Nova Rural Park Farm Centre.

       

      SPORTS

      The Vancouver Canadians take on the Boise Hawks in Minor League Baseball action. Held at Nat Bailey Stadium.

       

      COMEDY

      In STREETFIGHT Improv, two teams battle it out for your laughs and votes. Held at the Havana Theatre.

      Big Rock Urban Brewery hosts comedy by headliner Dino Archie, with support by Fatima Dhowre, Gavin Clarkson, Ed Hill, Morris Bartlett, Justin O'Hearn, and Jenny Toews.

       

      ARTS ET CETERA

      At the Tsleil-Waututh Eighth Annual Cultural Arts Festival, you can celebrate indigenous culture, the community, and the Tsleil-Waututh's connection to its territory. Held at Cates Park.

       

      DANCE

      As part of All Over the Map, New Works presents a free dance show by Aché Brasil at Ron Basford Park.

      At Robson Square Salsa, you can take in a salsa-dance lesson, a dance show, and an after party. Held at Robson Square.

       

      MUSIC

      The Vancouver Taiko Society presents performances by Winnipeg's Fubuki Daiko, Vancouver's Okinawa Taiko, and Sacramento's Tiffany Tamaribuchi and Friends. Held at the Rio Theatre.

       

      THEATRE

      Annual outdoor-Shakespeare fest Bard on the Beach presents Othello and The Merry Wives of Windsor at Vanier Park.

      Outdoor-theatre event Theatre Under the Stars features a production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast at Malkin Bowl.
