This is the seventh book in the Justice series and although find the characters flat and the plot predictable I can't stop reading them as the bottom line is they are very readable and require zero brain power which is perfect reading in between intense novels.

At the time of posting this series is available on Kindle Unlimited.

Seventh in the Lorne Simpkins series, Virtual Justice is yet another gripping read.

In Virtual Justice Lorne is asked to investigate the disappearance of a woman. A pattern soon emerges between murder victims and internet dating sites.

The author as usual takes us through a fast paced and gripping ride with one twist that I certainly did not see coming.

I loved the mother/daughter bonding going on between Lorne and Charlie. Having read all seven books in the series it's been nice to see Charlie growing up and even though she has been through some tough times it is nice to see the thoughtful woman that she is becoming. Even though readers could easily read Virtual Justice as a stand alone I do think you will miss out on the bonds and relationships between some of the characters.

Another great book in a great series!

If I could give it 10 stars I would !

I have just finished reading Virtual Justice and I'm already missing Lorne. I read all the Justice series and I really loved this fantastic character with all her trials and tribulations in which she had to show her courage, perseverance and determination to solve the various personal problems and the often gruesome crime cases coming her way.

Virtual Justice is absolutely the best novel in the Justice Series. This indicates that the author's ever superb writing skills are always getting better and better with each novel. Ms Comley is really phenomenal and I don't know how she manages to weave together such brilliant, original plots which always end up in mind boggling, astonishing finales.

In Virtual Justice, users of Internet dating sites are falling preys to a killer who lures them to a first date with him . A woman approaches P.I. Lorne Warner to help her find her missing twin sister. After a few days the missing woman turns up dead. With the help of her ex partner DS Katy Foster, Lorne begins her investigation which quickly becomes more complicated as more bodies including a male victim turn up. Could the killer be a woman? or Are there more than one lurking predators?

I have read somewhere that this would be the last Justice novel, but I really am hoping that this is not true. I encourage Ms Comley to keep on entertaining us with more adventures involving Lorne and the other wonderful characters.

Thank you Ms Comley for all the amazing Justice series !!

This has become one of those series of book's where i just can not wait for the next one.
Each one has just gotten better and better, and i know i have said it before but i didn't think it could get better.
I just seemed to have found myself really liking the characters, and constantly wanting to know more about them, the story in this one, was gripping, i read this over 2 nights as i just needed to know what was happening. But i can honestly say I was shocked when i realised who it was...............

No hesitation recommending this book, or this series...

Lorne and her husband, Tony, who run a small PI business are contacted by the sister of woman who has been missing for several days. Lorne, with the help of her former DI partner, Katy, start an investigation when the woman is discovered murdered the next day. Another body appears and their investigation leads them to an internet dating site. The case becomes confused when the victims turn from female to male. Two killers? A bi-sexual? With an on-line shopping center of lonely people seeking that perfect companion, the killer has endless opportunities to hone his/her craft and satisfy an ever increasing appetite to kill. Can Lorne and Katy uncover the truth before another innocent dies?

A page-turner that will keep you entertained from the very first page. Grab some snacks, something to drink and turn off the phone. You're not going to want to put this one down until the very last page--and then you'll want more.

Contacted by the sister of a missing girl, Lorne is quickly plunged into an investigation where the killer seems to be choosing his victims through internet dating sites. But not everything is as it seems, and Lorne discovers that she's not just dealing with one serial killer but two. Adding to the complication, Lorne is still dealing with the death of her father and trying to get help for her sister, Jade, who's not coping well.

I've enjoyed all the books in this series and they just keep getting better! I couldn't put it down until I'd finished it.If you want a fast-paced thriller with plenty of gritty and gripping action, look no further.

I haven't had the chance to read the series but I must say, the book is impressive. The characters are portrayed so well and there lies a strong substance to get a grip of the problems encountered and the most dark corners of the unseen world. Thoroughly thrilling piece of work and a good read.

Lorne a PI , gets a call from a twin, that her sister was missing. No clues, a boyfriend a year ago, excellent worker, and missed at her job. Her computer offered more, of what she was doing. Through using a false name, was she writing a book, or was she into online dating. The murder count is growing. The nice part of the story is how Charlie has blossom with being with the rescue dogs. Her favorite has been in training Rusty, then a decision has to be made.A good plot that is balance with the home life, friends and finding the killers.

My first exposure to this author and series. Maybe it is because it's #7 and I'm jumping in late but I thought it was average. While knowing more about the characters background from earlier books may have had me appreciate this more, it didn't hamper my ability to follow. It's an easy read, but I didn't find it to be a page turner and there was one sentence that tipped off the ending- to me anyway.
I'm not inclined to invest in reading the balance of the series.

A ‘Virtual’ Good Read

The Justice series (Lorne Simpkins series in Goodreads) continues with Lorne Simpkins Warner now retired and working as a PI, although her continuing police friends are all still present. The premise of this mystery is scarily possible and could open a few peoples eyes (no spoilers). As always, a quick and satisfying read.

This is my favourite book in the series so far. I was on the edge of my seat from the start due to all the tension in this book. Makes you stop and think about online dating and how people can hide behind a computer. This book was hard to read but even harder to put down!

On line dating sounds too scary for me

I was impressed with this story and not too much for Lorne to handle. She is a busy body and can never reflex. Animals are sensitive to humans and know how we feel. I have experienced that before. Great nook

Virtual Justice (7)

This was a pretty good read ,but it doesn't seem to get everything that is really important to the story line. It almost seems like the author is in a hurry to finish.

Are you ready for another thrilling ride of justice?

Disclaimer : I was given a review copy in exchange for an honest review.

There is this quote that I saw while reading this book that really made me think that this author really has a way to describe the characters. Here it is , "However, it makes no odds to me if you go in there or not. However, what does matter to me is that I get my sister back. I don't want to keep walking on eggshells around you. None of us do." This quote tells me that Lorne really love her sister and she would do anything to make sure she is happy. This to me, is very touching.

Although I have not read the first #6 book of the Justice series, I can relate well that this book's setting is in the modern world with lots of international crime and mystery. Lorne and her husband role as private investigators added lots of twists and turns for this #7 series, Virtual Justice. It captures the dark side of human crime in a simple to read manner. I like it very much.

As for the character, Lorne....She is rather a capable lady juggling time to take care of the family, his handicapped husband and at the same managing his private investigator agency. She is resourceful, attractive, loving and smart. She is one of those modern woman that truly displayed great guts and wits. I bet she is those beauty with the brains. This book truly made me think twice about women.

As for the plot of this book, it is about a woman gone missing. They were asked by the sister to help her find this missing person. A turn of events led them to multiple murder cases, and to a online dating site. Without giving too much away, the author displayed is really a great storyteller, and able to lead readers to ups and downs of an investigation process. It is truly entertaining.

This book is a great book with lots of surprises, twists. This book is great for people who like about solving crime. If you like mystery and thriller like what I like to write, you'll definitely get lots of entertainment and enjoyment out of this Justice series.

If you like :

- Andrew E. Kaufman's Darkness Shadows
- Gillian Flynn's Sharp Objects
- Michael Prescott's Comes the Dark

you'll definitely get lots of entertainment out of this novella series!

If there's one thing I'd change about this book, it would be to create the image that Lorne more vividly and also to develop more scenes towards catching the real murderer. But, overall, I like the style of this author even though this is my first time reading her book.

This book looked great on my Kindle app on my iPad. It has good formatting and layout.

When I reviewed the last one of this series I said it was the least favourite for me but this one is worse. I read it all and quickly (as they're getting shorter as well) but she has definitely changed her style and not for the good, sadly. There are a couple more to come and I love the characters and know them now so I'll probably stick with it but it's a real shame to see them so rushed and changed.
One of the victim's sister was maybe one of the vaguest characters ever....she knew nothing about anything and I was glad she wasn't in it for too long as she was irritating me beyond belief. She also said her sister had had issues with a past boyfriend a few years ago when we'd already been told they only split up a year ago !!
Some passages were a little 50 Shades'ish and not for me and in parts it came across as a bad teen romance....it's like the author had regressed !! I found it totally unbelievable that Lorne, a seasoned ex-police officer would have to "think" briefly about who Brady and Hindley were as well !! Or that her and Katy would take a night off mid-investigation and let someone else get killed in the meantime. Not very conscientious and not the behaviour of the woman who features in most of these books.....before the style altered.
There were a couple of apostrophe mistakes and swatting was used where swotting should've been, speechmarks were missing a few times as well. Then creek was written as creak (ouch)but they were all the mistakes I happened across.
However, she needs to pack in starting other new series, I think, and concentrate on bringing this one back to the great standard it was in the past.

Mel Comley. 7th in series
Virtual Justice
The problem with this series of books is that 5 stars is not enough praise for the justice books.
The story on this book is gripping as always, with Lorne's father now dead her daughter Charlie is working extra hours at the sanctuary. Lorne gets a phone call regarding a missing lady and this starts a whole new investigation.
This book will have you gripped from early on and as the murders get more and more frequent you will love the workings of Lorne. And as in all these books it is not without personal problems as well.
Can't wait for the next installment of Justice you like me will love this book. Thanks again th M A Comley for another terrific read.

This is book #7 in the Justice series and I am still just as excited reading these books as I was from the very first. So much has changed in Lorne's life since that first book, but Comley keeps the stories fresh and exciting, keeping the reader captivated from the very first pages to the very last paragraph. This time there is a predator on the internet, preying on people looking for love on line. Lorne is on top of her game, as always, with the help of husband Tony, Katy and some other familiar faces, hunting down the clues to lead her to an unbelievably exciting ending. The Justice series just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait for the next one!

Really enjoyed Virtual Justice - especially as I found it had a new take on the series.

As a reader, i felt like I was more privy to the killers - their actions, conversations and feelings. That was really interesting, it was like two parallel stories running alongside each other. Lorne and Katy frantically searching for answers, while the readers are let in on the "behind-the-scenes" actions of the killers... Not all of course, and M.A Comley writes with great suspense.

Another superb addition to the Justice series that I am thoroughly enjoying. Looking forward to the next one in my #JusticeJourney.

A woman approaches Lorne to ask for help in finding her twin sister who is missing. It soon transpires that the woman has been murdered. Lorne tags along onto the police investigation to look for the murderer. Soon there is another victim and both have been users of Internet dating sites but the confusion comes because the second victim is a man which causes Lorne and the team to surmise that the murderer is actually a pair of murderers.

Lorne and her family are still recovering from the death of her father and the way they all deal with this varies from one to another. This is explored well in this story.

P.I. Lorne Warner is the main character here. She has a teenage daughter who helps get dogs ready to go to new homes. There is one really great dog that she doesn't really want to go for special training. Lorne's new husband has an artificial leg and lets an infection get really bad, so he ends up having to be in the hospital. I had problems getting onto goodreads today, so I have forgotten some of the criminal aspects. Morris persuades his new girl friend to kill a stranger, but the second time she only wounds the man, so the police are able to track them.
