Obama's day: Immigration again

Amid criticism of the health care rollout, President Obama turns attention Thursday to what has become his top legislative priority: Immigration.

Obama delivers a mid-morning speech calling on Congress to pass what the White House calls "common sense immigration reform."

The Senate passed an immigration bill earlier this year, but the Republican-run House has not.

Some GOP members object to a proposed path to citizenship for immigrants who are already in the United States illegally, calling it amnesty for lawbreakers.

In the meantime, the president and aides will continue to field questions about health care website problems that are blocking people from signing up for coverage under Obamacare.

Also on Thursday, Obama will attend a Women's Leadership Forum sponsored by the Democratic National Committee.
