Ingrid Alongi, Quick Left CEO, to receive Boulder Chamber’s Entrepreneur of the Year award

Ingrid Alongi, co-founder and chief executive officer of Boulder-based web application development firm Quick Left Inc., will receive the 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Boulder Chamber, officials announced Tuesday.

The Entrepreneur of the Year honor will be one of four awards presented by the chamber at the organization’s Esprit Entrepreneur event scheduled for Oct. 29.

“Alongi, a Boulder native, was selected from among dozens of award nominees for her leadership, the organization’s success, who’s who list of clients, and reputation for innovation that exemplifies Boulder’s economy,” Boulder Chamber officials said in a statement. 

About 300 people are expected to attend next week’s event that will honor entrepreneurs and also municipal officials and community members for their actions during the recent floods.

The 2013 Esprit Entrepreneur Awards and winners are:

Entrepreneur of the Year — Ingrid Alongi, CEO and co-founder of Quick Left

Entrepreneurial Leadership Award —
Steve Hughes, CEO of Boulder Brands Inc.

Esprit Impact Award —
Teju Ravilochan, CEO of the Unreasonable Institute

Civic Entrepreneurship Award —
Jane Brautigam, Boulder city manager; Joe Pelle, Boulder County sheriff; and representatives from the Community Foundation, Foothills United Way, Boulder Flood Relief and Ball Corp.
