Marble Show 'a success'

PANAMA CITY BEACH — The Marble Show on Jan. 20 at Boardwalk Beach Resort brought out a crowd of visitors and locals.

"The marble show was a huge success," said Paul Germann, show organizer and avid marble collector. "We had over 100 people attend on Saturday. The show spawned at least six new collectors. Several local people took advantage of the free appraisal table. We had collectors here from 12 states and as far away as California and Massachusetts. We are looking forward to next year's show and expect to more than double the attendance."

Author Scott McBride also attended the Jan. 20 show and offered autographed copies of his recently published "Kings of the Rings," a 654-page book on the history of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) National Marble Tournament.
