Opt-Out of Marketing Not Instant

Simple enough to register the warranty on a TV. But didn't like the fact that by providing an email address (which they'll need to confirm the registration), you couldn't elect to opt out of marketing to the email address I'd provided on the website and could only do so later.

The company is very professional
If you must add accidental damag, if you have expensive products you will never know when you need it, was
well done and it was simple and easy
Called up quickly and they were very helpful and explained the options easily. Once they received the product they gave me a list to choose from. I’d highly recommend because John Lewis couldn’t replicate it.

Washing Machine Woes

Washing machine played up just before 4 day bank holiday. Repair booked for 7 days. Called by D&G 1 day after bank holiday to say they had a cancellation. Accepted. Engineer arrived at time advised. He was consice, friendly, efficient and had the repair wrapped up in under 40 mins. Brilliant service by all involved.

Despicable rip off merchants

Despicable rip off merchants. refused to pay out on boiler cover to elderly lady despite her paying £40 per month for years as the new boiler wasn't supplied by them. Praying on the vulnerable and refusing to honour policies. Would leave 0 stars if given the option. Avoid at all costs

Great fast service

Great fast service, been with them for years and enjoyed having the confidence, know matter what happens, by appliances are protected

I would really kind of say, stay away from their partner gadgets company, sky protect. There really could not be any numbers LOW enough to score that company

Thumbs up for D&G

We had a Beko slimline integrated dishwasher which was unreliable in the guarantee period. So we took the D&G insurance because the omens didn't look good. In the subsequent 3 years we've had numerous callouts, and eventually the machine had to be replaced under the insurance. Its not a good advert for Beko (4 years is no life) but other appliances have been fine. D&G though were swift efficient and easy to deal with.

My washing machine

My washing machine, I contacted Domestic & General the following day I was given an appointment for engineer to mend it, he couldn’t do much & a new part was ordered but the part was unavailable. I was offered a new machine which was delivered within the 2 week & set up. There was no drama. Thanks Domestic & General for your help.

Awful service !!!!

Awful service !!!!
Repair ongoing since February and now a new repair needed as tripping all my electricity.

Several call back's promised but I'm still waiting for those .
Unable to offer me an after 4pm slot when I work and unavailable untill then.

Currently 2 WEEKS without washing machine !!

Handy online fault reporting

It makes a nice change being able to notify D&G of an appliance problem online rather than having to phone. And it was so easy to complete the details online. The only let down is once you have got your approval for repair, you then have to phone the manufacturer's call centre and endure the multichoice phone menu system. However once you're past that wee hurdle, super easy, engineer out quickly, kept informed, everything sorted in a timely manner. Top marks to the Bosch/Siemens engineer. Just a shame you can't book the engineer appointment online that's the only reason I have dropped a star.

Good response timing

Since I have been using D&G they always responded with the earlier appointment on their books. When my 13 yr old washer dryer broke down.D&G responded on time and the engineer was respectful of my space. Delivery of my chosen washer dryer was quick too!

Having the worst experience,calling…

Having the worst experience,calling every week,being transfered from one person to another.At times put on hold until the line cuts off.Told we are waiting for the report from the engineers but for how long?Given phone numbers to call the engineers myself and the numbers dnt go through.So draining now cant afford to purchase a new Tv at the moment.

The sales people from this company are rude and aggressive

The sales people from this company are rude, persistent and very aggressive in their sales pitch!
I had a call after I bought 2 BEKO kitchen appliance and despite several comments from the sales person I eventually had to be very firm about not wanting extended warranty type insurance!
A year later, just a few mins ago another call with another fairly peremptory and rather bad tempered agent who did not want to accept the fact that I do still not want the insurance!
I have been very polite and have had to be very insistent! This is not the way to try to sell insurance

Great service

No problem getting an engineer. Next Day was offered but we weren't available. Engineer had the right parts before he saw the problem.

Good service

I was really looked after by the lady at D&G who sorted out my new washing machine. The only drawback was I was about 10 days without a washer, this was from arranging a repair to getting a new one due to my old washer was unrepairable! But everyone from the engineer to the delivery men were very good.

Great engineer on recent repair

Great engineer on recent repair. We have had two repairs completed now both fantastic. I just wish D&G wouldn't call the day after to try and sell me other products (which has happened both times) when I have opted out of marketing

RELABLE

They used a very good company to pick up your item and put in a sealed box and a picture taken as you hand it over.
if it cant be fix they try replace like for like or better item with your agreement, which arrives 2 - 5 working days

Replacement cooker

When cooker was unrepairable. Process for replacement was easy and quick. Workmen who fitted new cooker were very professional and cheerful at 7.00am when they delivered, fitted cooker and took old one away.

Great service. TV written off by engineer and few hours later sent replacement options. Decent choices and option to upgrade if required. Delivery date to suit.
