cyberculture |
|
The Beginning of the Modern World
In the late 1980s and early 1990s something strange was happening. Early Virtual Reality and Internet were combining with house music, neo-psychedelia and cyberpunk fiction to produce a cultural movement that would herald the new hyperconnected world. Cyberculture:is a exhibition of material from this era that explores this brave new world from the perspective of those who were there. An Interact Digital Arts Exhibition
LCB Depot, 26 May - 17 June
Linked to the exhibition and as part of the Spark Arts Festival, we're hosting a Virtual Saturday on 27 May 12-4pm - play with retro video games and VR systems, free; and Steve Ignorant's Slice of Life (see above) on Thursday 18 May, 7-11pm.

this fan girl |
|
Coming soon - an unfolding photography series, aiming to capture the many faces of the female football fan.
The number of women attending football matches in the UK continues to grow year on year, up to 25% of total crowd numbers at some games - yet they're still widely underrepresented. Over the 2016/2017 season, Amy and Laura of This Fan Girl aimed to spend every weekend travelling across the UK to capture the faces and document the stories of the real female football fan, celebrating that in all its diversity.
On show at LCB Depot, from June
