Former Altus Police Officer Pleads Guilty in Stolen Property Ring

JACKOSN CO.,Okla_A former Altus police officer who was accused in a stolen property ring this year pleaded guilty Tuesday.

Jose Arce was arrested along with another officer after an undercover operation by the police department and the FBI.  The undercover officer told Arce he had come across some tools stolen from a construction site.

Arce and the other officer had offered to pay for those tools and shortly after they were arrested. Arce pleaded guilty to four counts and was sentenced to a series of deferred sentences.

He was also ordered to serve 230 days in Jackson County and was given credit for his time in jail since his arrest in February.

Arce also had to surrender his CLEET certification which means he cannot work as a law enforcement officer in Oklahoma.
