GTA V PC Could Only Support DirectX 11

GTA V PC has been giving out quite confused results on the incorporation of the DirectX 11 mode. Rumors have recently been circulating indicating towards the DirectX 11 being the only mode employed in the GTA V PC. Some fans have also been going through the PS3 build code but it has been stated that there was no sighting of any code related to the DirectX 9 or DirectX 10 mode. This will surely represent no inclination towards the other two modes being present. This contradicts the fact that the Direct X mode also allows for the incorporation if the DX 9 and DX 10, DX10 being minimum. But the codes give away no clue of the DX 9 or DX 10.

GTA V

A lot of information has been given on the DirectX mode of the GTA V PC and this might be a bit surprising, considering that fact that the game is built for the PS3. Even through this massive amount of information available on the game, there is still a lot of confusion because the build guide of the PS3 version of GTA V PC reveals no indication of any of the modes of DX9 or DX 10. Here is the code in question:

[quote]•868907 – [PB][PC] Crash – When accessing “last gen” mode the game crashes. – rage::grcTextureFactoryDX11::LockRenderTarget Phone camera uses 3rd person mode due to a workaround for it being broken otherwise – 864649
•861626 – [PT] MP Freemode [release]- Game is stuck at a black screen after creating a freemoder character and entering the tutorials
•614622 – [LB][PT][LDS][DX11] Blooms too much on smog weather setting.
•Loading asserts – 637030
•632447 – [PC] All the phones are very dark and hard to read
•603855: [PT] Graphical corruption of LODs and vehicles (both SP and MP)
•685283 – [PT] Crash inside grass plant renderer on DX11 only
•606286 – Issues with Jerry Can gas trail not always igniting.
•671756 – Issues with savegame queuing.[/quote]

From all this confusion and the tit bits gathered from the information, three assumptions can be jotted down. The most likely to happen is the case that the GTA V PC will only feature the DirectX 11 and there will absolutely be no trace of the other two modes which people are expecting. Another situation likely to be the case is that the two modes have intentionally been removed or they were never found on the build of PS3 based GTA V. DX 9 and DX 10 Related Pipelines might have not caused a single bug in the PS3 build but this assumption is the most unlikely to be the case.
