Follow Catrina and her long time friend Sarah on a romantic adventure filled with jewel thieves and chasing Interpol agents, while Cat finds romance with the FBI agent as he looks for the people involved in the disappearance of her family heirloom.
The story sounded intriguing based on the blurb I read. Missing jewels, kidnappings, and adventures with FBI and Interpol agents. However the story fell short in all those things. The book just didn’t flow at all for me.
The conversations between all the characters seemed forced. They were jumbled up and at times hard to follow and the constant changing of points of view (POV) made the book awkward.
There were a few twists and that was another issue for me. I felt like there were too many twists, if that’s even possible. It could have just been the story and maybe if it flowed better the twists would have made sense and not seemed extreme to me.
I didn’t connect with any of the characters and that is something I look for in a book.

The plot was good, while the editing was not. I think that with an editor, perhaps some beta readers to catch mistakes, the book would have been much better. The mistakes I found were capitalization, spelling, punctuation, and the use of incorrect word placement. Some of the conversation between characters seems stilted. I did like some of the twists in the book. It made me wonder who was one of the good guys, and who was not. I received this book in exchange for a review. My best advice would be to fix some of the issues, and republish. With some work this story could be a 4 or 5 star book, but as is I give it 2.5.
