Valley Legislative Intern Scholar Program

Annually, this program funds approximately 30 scholar interns in legislative offices throughout the year in the San Joaquin Valley.

2021-2022 Program Deadlines

  • The application window for the Summer 2023 program is currently open and will remain open until January 26th at 5:00 PM. Priority Deadline is January 19, 2023 at 5:00 PM. To view the application, click here:

Eligibility:

  • Must have a 3.0 overall GPA or higher
  • Must be at least a Junior in standing (60 units completed)  OR be a Graduate student in standing during the semester ofthe internship OR be a second-year student at a Community College.
  • Must be able to work 3-6 hours per shift and 10-15 hours a week during the semester. Total hours requirement is 150 hours.
  • Must act with the highest degree of professionalism and responsibility which also includes taking into consideration that backing out at the last minute would not only be very unprofessional but would put in jeopardy the future placement of other students like you.
