Welcome to the "One Hour Degree" game. This is a text-based game that squeezes a three year degree at the University of Kent into a game that can be played in as little as one hour. Numerous game elements are from actual Kent students, others are fabricated.

Navigate through the simulation, make choices, and ultimately earn yourself the best ‘degree’ possible. Then enjoy your very own graduation ceremony video at the end.

The game presents information about University of Kent facilities and services. These key services will be highlighted and you can find further information by clicking, or in the ‘About’ tab on the left hand menu panel.

The game was written just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some Covid restrictions are still in place. Consequently, some storylines may differ with the real campus experience however, the vast array of support and advice services remains the same. Pandemic aside, we will help you achieve the best degree possible.

First off, please choose the category that best represents you (this will not affect your game experience):

Kent Student – You are a registered student at the University of Kent, but have not yet graduated.

Prospective Kent Student - You are not yet in Higher Education but contemplating coming to Kent or another university.

Kent Staff - You are currently employed as a University of Kent member of staff. If you are also a registered student at Kent, please select the ‘Kent Student’ option.

Other - If you are none of the above.

Parent Supports - If you are a parent or guardian of a student coming to Kent, why not try out the campus tour first?
