RICHMOND, Va. (Oct. 21, 2013) – CAA Football's Player of the Week honorees for the eight week of the 2013 season were announced on Monday. A link to each school's release will be added to the player's name over the course of the day as releases become available.

Co-Offensive Player of the Week: John Robertson, Soph., QB, Villanova
Robertson cops a second-consecutive weekly honor and his third in four weeks on the heels of another historic outing. The sophomore standout finished 15-of-17 for 122 yards passing and a career-high 256 yards on 27 carries, which represents the program's second-highest single-game rushing total and just the seventh 200-yard rushing game in school history. With his three rushing touchdowns, Robertson has now recorded three scores in back-to-back games and three times overall in his young career.

Co-Offensive Player of the Week: Marcus Wasilewski, Sr., QB, Maine
Wasilewski opened the day 12-for-12 through the air and finished an efficient 16-of-22 for 192 yards and two touchdowns to surpass the 4,000-yard passing milestone in Maine's 34-20 win over William & Mary. The senior signal caller also rushed for 71 yards on 14 carries to lead the Black Bears, who currently boast the top spot in the conference standings with a 3-0 league record.

Defensive Player of the Week: Donnell Lewis, Soph., S, Towson
Lewis continued his solid sophomore campaign with a strong showing in Towson's 44-17 road win over UAlbany, providing a huge spark for the squad with his 38-yard interception return for a touchdown that put the Tigers ahead, 17-7, in the second quarter. In addition to his second score of the season, Lewis also turned in seven tackles, including five solo, and a pass breakup against the Great Danes.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Dylan Smith, Soph., K, Rhode Island
Smith had a record day for the Rams on Saturday, tying a 25-year-old school record with his four field goals to lead Rhode Island to its third win of the season, 12-10, over Richmond. The sophomore accounted for all of Rhody's scoring with his performance, which included a career-long 47-yarder in the second quarter.

Rookie of the Week: Dalton Crossan, R-Fr., RB/KR, New Hampshire
Crossan earns his first conference honor after breaking open for a 17-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and highlighting a huge Wildcats win over Villanova with a 35-yard kickoff return with 1:09 remaining that gave the team possession at the 50-yard-line for its eventual game-winning drive. Crossan also finished with 41 yards on five carries and tacked on a 16-yard reception to wrap up the win with 103 all-purpose yards.
