What Did We Do?

When SunTrust & BB&T merged to form Truist,  AIS answered the call.

To accomplish such a daunting task, AIS established a Truist-dedicated team consisting of 12 Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers whose sole-focus was completing the conversion as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Over 5,400 signs and 270  sites later all locations across Florida have been fully converted.

What Did We Do?

American & Interstate Signcrafters is the sign company of record for Citibank. We have executed well over 1,008 individual sites for Citibank and are one of two companies  approved to service the entire Citibank footprint.

What Did We Do?

American & Interstate Signcrafters worked with D3LED and brand design firm Gilmore Group. American & Interstate Signcrafters was responsible for the design and fabrication of the custom ATM wall vestibule, the design and fabrication of the sun shade that extends from the first floor to the second floor and to the exterior of the building.

We were also responsible for the installation of everything on site, including the two fully customized LEDs, ATM wall, as well as the custom LED mezzanine wall, ceiling and sun shade. Different modifications and modules were used throughout different locations within the project. For instance the faceted ceiling, which extends to the exterior, utilizes a custom fabricated race-way configuration. All fabrication was done in house.

What Did We Do?

Designed as an elegant covering over the building frontage, the sign is a custom perforated aluminum facade with the building’s address vertically imprinted within its aluminum covering. For nighttime viewing, a custom-lighting cove was built into the perimeter of the entire structure to accentuate its unique shape.

Overall more than 50 custom perforated panels were required, 18 were panels with multiple radius per panel. This was required to achieve the unique curvature featured above the entryway. To fabricate these panels we created a 3-D surfaces model to identify the different radius required, per panel. An 8’ by 35’ custom jig structure was fabricated to hold the shape of the panels prior to installation.

What Did We Do?

The Barclays Center consists of 675,000 sq ft, and the project consisted of over 2,300 different

signs. Everything channel letters, pylon signs, monument signs, wayfinding signs, vinyls, custom and decorative metals, as well as perforated roof top sign were designed to the “T”. Our job was to manufacture and install each of the individual 2,300 signs in a timely, cost efficient manner while remaining true to design intent.

For signage inside the building, we used a newly developed powder-coated aluminum that is the color and finish of the iconic steel bands outside. We expanded this process to include concessions and column wraps as well.

What Did We Do?

Scaling eight stories at sixty-by-sixty feet, the work denotes the main entrance to VIA 57 WEST, the torqued tetrahedral residential and mixed-use “courtscraper” that marks Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG)’s first project in the Americas.

To install the technologically complex Flows Two Ways sculpture, American & Interstate Signcrafters worked with engineering, architecture, and design teams to fabricate and install a layered construction and anchoring

system and with Milgo Bufkin on fabrication of the panelized façade.

What Did We Do?

The original Essex House sign consisted of large sheet-copper letters housed by a series of vertical steel trusses with diagonal bracing and horizontal cross members spanning the trusses. Despite its expert craftsmanship, after more than 85 years the original sheet copper letters were falling apart.

American & Interstate Signcrafters was responsible for removing these letters safely. We were also tasked with fabricating and installing identical lightweight, weather resistant aluminum letters.

As an added challenge we were asked to preserve the building’s appearance throughout the duration of the project. To achieve the this we brought each letter to the roof in pieces, assembled and hoisted them to the structure one letter at a time.
