By now it shouldn't come as a surprise when I say that April Angel is my Fairy Smut Mother - the mistress and conjurer of every conceivable fantasy I never knew I had. And she doesn't seem to be running out of sinfully wicked male heroes that make your heart pound and other parts throb with need, or female heroines you want nothing more than to trade places with. Wicked Valentine is nothing short of pure carnal ecstasy.

We were briefly introduced to Sabrina as Alexandra's feisty cousin in Mr. Buff. Sabrina has been harboring a serious lust-fueled crush on her boss, Maxwell Stone for about a year. So far she's done a really good job of keeping her raging desire for him in check, not just because his company has a strict no fraternization policy, but he's also her boss, and everyone knows that sleeping with the boss is never a good idea. While on a colleague bonding retreat in the woods, a very inebriated Sabrina can't resist the heated looks or the feel of a mere touch from Max. Not knowing that Max had been suffering the same unfulfilled desires of look but don't touch, he's not willing to let her hide any longer. But convincing her to give them a chance may require him to pull out all the stops and implement an unconventional plan that would blow all first dates right out of the water. The only thing more distracting than Max's tongue may be a stalker leaving threatening messages.

Max is a successful CEO, incredibly handsome, has the stamina of an Olympic athlete, and he's a closet geek which just made him even more appealing. His idea of luring Sabrina to the Wicked Valentine's Day Ball where he would make all her fantasies a reality was ballsy. Three different rooms, three different scenarios, and each one of them will have you dripping with lust. Pretty much like Sabrina.

What I loved about this pairing was that even though Sabrina was scared of commitment, she didn't put up a tug of war with her emotions over Max. Once he began creeping into her heart, she let him in. As for Max, I loved both his confidence as well as his few moments of insecurity. Individually they were loveable and together they were combustible. The mystery of the stalker was a little predictable, but I enjoyed seeing Max charge in to save the day and cement his future.

Warning: This book may spontaneously combust in your hands as it contains elements of voyeurism, exhibitionism, oral sex, anilingus, the use of wicked toys and light BDSM. But they're all used in the most pleasurable of ways.

Disclaimer: I received an early review copy from the author. A review in exchange was not promised.

Snatching defeat from the hands of victory.

This book was delightful: Hot, fun, playful sex and then nose dive. I was really enjoying Nina, a strong uninhibited female living her life the way she wanted. There were some maneuverings by Max to get her in his orbit the way he wanted. What follows is yummy with the tiniest hint kinky as Max tries to win Nina over. Then, as soon as the story needed to carry weight it just plummeted. Melodramatic and filled with cliches.

The story was meh. It ramped up way too quick. The conflict felt contrived with a threat and illness as Max sweeps in to take care of her. Nina's now a modern woman in bed and a little girl in her life. Okay, sure. I'm still with it and then...workplace catfight...ugh. Finally, a rush to find a HEA when there hasn't been enough time for a HFN. Not my cup of tea.

Have I said lately how much I love April Angel's books? I swear each is better than the last. Nina has been attracted to Max but because he is her boss doesn't want to do anything to jeopardize her job. Things go from smoking hot while on a weekend retreat to five alarm fire hot when Max gives her a Valentines Day she will never forget.

After reading MR BUFF I just knew that Alex's cousin needed her own story and thankfully readers get that in WICKED VALENTINE. One thing I love about Ms Angel's heroines is that they don't take crap from anyone and the heroes will do anything to get their women with them in their bed and tied to them permanently no matter what it takes.

WICKED VALENTINE is kinky romance at it's best. The love scenes between Max and Nina are so hot that it will have readers squirming in their seats as they turn the page to find out what other sexy pleasure Max has in store. There really are no words to describe the heat level that wouldn't seem wimpy. Just thinking of the scenes has me going in search of some ice, maybe air conditioning maybe both with a cold shower thrown in?

I was thrilled to discover that the author wrote another installment to the Sizzling Encounters series; this delightfully sinful tale will surely be popular with the Mr. Buff fans.

Planning a night at home alone curled up with a book - I recommend this book, a glass of wine and a quiet reading nook…you are going to want to savor every moment; without any interruptions. This is an invigorating read…the bond between Max and Sabrina is brimming with uninhibited passion. Congrats…this another for the keeper/reread it shelf.

HAPPY EARLY VALENTINE’S DAY!

Wow, this book was so HOT! I love a fiesty woman who knows what she wants, Enter a hot, geeky stud and you have magic! I love that the characters are not the perfect body type or personality. Max is a geek who loves going to comicon and watching Star Trek. Nina is beautiful, but is back heavy lol. Max is willing to do anything to show Nina how much he wants to be with her and Nina fights him for his own good. I love that this book is short but has a story line and its different! The sex gets kinky and so HOT! You will be squirming by the end. I want to go to my own Wicked Valentine Ball!!

Wicked Valentine is a short erotica story. After getting a little tipsy Sabrina (Nina) has a steamy one night love affair, in the woods, with her boss. Maxwell has always found Nina attractive and was utterly devastated when their nighttime sexcapade didn't turn into sometime a little more long lasting. After being jilted and avoided, he accompanies Nina to the Wicked Valentine's Day Ball.

After visiting a few different rooms where voyeurism and kinkiness occur, Nina realizes that she has longed for Max to the point that she was in denial. Forgetting Max is her boss or rather, not caring, Nina has sweet, hot and passionate sex with him. Their relationship deepens and they go public. All the while, someone is bitter and threatening Nina. Finding out who it is, Max fires them and removes the work policy of "no relationships between co-workers".

This is a short, steamy, attention grabbing story. It was well written and lived up to the erotica genre. The romantic story was there and the scenes were lascivious. Wicked Valentine was a story that can be read in a day and was such an amazing read. I enjoyed every moment of it and could not put it down until the very end. April Angel amazes me, yet again, with this wonderful story. Thank you again so much for this fine piece of reading material. I have read and reviewed two of your books and I enjoyed both completely. I look forward to more amazing reads!

This was certainly a very hot read, and the author doesn 19t waste time before giving you the goods. One of the first scenes is an incredibly sexy woods encounter. That sets off the chemistry between the characters that lasts throughout the rest of the story.

Despite that chemistry though, it took me a while to really get a sense of who the characters were beyond the sexual relationship and get a feel for some character development. One of the author 19s other books has a hero named Max and I happened to have read it recently so the hero of this one being named Max as well threw me for a chapter or two as well.

The start of the buildup for the suspense factor was great, but then it took a major backseat to the romance (not that I 19m complaining) and that really showed when it came to the final conflict as it was a little anticlimactic and predictable 26though I must say it was pretty satisfying none the less.

What really makes this story is the Wicked Valentine Ball. Now that was a fun part to read! The different rooms, the bringing fantasies to life, and the romantic gestures mixed in definitely get you hooked. The fact that there was some meddling and assistance to bring the two together only made it better!

Overall, Wicked Valentine is a quick, sexy, romantic suspense that will definitely leave you needing a cool shower! Don 19t miss this one!

This quick and erotic read is steamy and fun, with a little bit of suspense thrown in. Nina has wanted Max for a while. But being co-workers, there are rules in place that force her to keep her feelings at bay. While on a weekend retreat, however, things heat up as the two of them share an intense erotic encounter. Max wants Nina worse than ever, but she isn’t willing to risk losing her job for him. When Nina is invited to a Wicked Valentine’s Day Ball, she decides to go and try to get her mind off of Max. Upon showing up, however, she discovers that Max is her escort for the evening. Through a series of events, including someone trying to keep Nina and Max apart, the two of them grow closer than ever and have a Valentine’s Day that neither one will ever forget.

I loved the chemistry between Nina and Max. Their need for one another was so catching, that you could feel the intensity of it throughout the story. The romance that transpires is beautiful, and the erotic love scenes are so hot, they make you hum in all of the right places. The little bit of suspense that’s thrown in keeps the story interesting and adds a unique touch to an erotic short story.

My only gripe? That the story was longer. I would have loved to have read more about Nina and Max, as their story is exactly the kind of erotic romance readers truly enjoy.

WHAT I LIKED:

I love Milly Taiden/April Angel's books because they're short, amazing, and sexy as hell. She writes real life characters, not the typical perfect in every way type that so many authors write. I also love how incredibly erotic her love scenes are and I must admit, this one takes the prize. I've read every one of her books and Wicked Valentine blew me away with its blazingly hot chemistry between Max and Nina.

I will warn you, there is a bit of voyeurism and toys, but I found it added to the eroticism. This had enough plot to keep things interesting and I'm not ashamed to admit, I'm claiming Max as mine. I'm a sucker for a dominant man and boy does Max deliver on that.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE

One of these days, I'm going to convince April to write longer books. Then again, my Kindle may spontaneously combust if she writes longer books with even more sexy scenes. It'll be worth it though :)

OVERALL VERDICT: 5/5 Blue Duckies!!

When it comes to erotic romance, you really can't go wrong with Milly Taiden/April Angel!

What happens when you fall for your boss or the owner of your company, for Nina and Max, sparks fly!

The story begins at a company retreat. After denying the connection with Max for so long, Nina has some wine to dull the pain of being on an employee retreat in the woods and between the growing desire for Max and the wine she gives in to her attraction to Max. Having had some past bad experiences in relationships, Nina is a no strings kind of girl. But, Max doesn't want it to be no strings, he wants Nina.

As you read you will see the development of these two characters as they learn about trust and sometimes you just have to give up what you have to have something better. I really enjoy this author's writing, however, I just feel that the story needed to be longer. Some of the growth of the characters seemed a bit too quick for me. I can't wait to read a full length novel by this author, because I think it will be awesome.

If you want a quick, erotically sexy Valentines day read, give this one a try.

April truly got even more adventurous with sex in this baby, it is HOT! She created another wickedly sexy short story that will keep you on your sexy toes! Any fan of the genre and of April Angel, will enjoy reading Wicked Valentine!

Nina is a beautiful, intelligent woman and is a bit tired of holding back her feeling for Max. But she has to keep things professional because they work together and there are rules in place she must follow. But we all know the saying about how rules are made to be broken…

Max has desired Nina from the very start. She never even gives him the time of day and he’s unsure what to do about it. When he finally sees a perfect opportunity, he snatches it right up, rules it and does not look back! I love this guy :)

There was a touch of mystery and suspense (besides all of the highly erotic love scenes) that could not help but keep you turning the pages to see that what and why. I love these two and am very happy with the way things turned out for them.

What a Valentine's Day! Book 2 in the Sizzling Encounters series. Great story about a sizzling office attraction! Nina is very attracted to her bosses boss and owner of the real estate business, but there is a strict rule about dating someone from the office. What Nina doesn't know is that Max wants her too! After their first encounter in the woods at an office retreat weekend she continues to call in sick or work from home. She doesn't think she can face him and know she can't have him.

How can he get her to go out with him? Asking isn't working, flowers aren't working... So he invites her to the Wicked Valentines Day Party! She gives in to him at the party, but will she go missing again? Give this a book a try to see if they can work it out.

You know you want him, he wants you too, but office protocol says, “No fraternizing”.
Well all the best intentions are doomed to internally combust when you try to fight the inevitable; and Nina knows that doomed will be her middle name if an office romance hits the gossip pool.
But one sassy, curvy, sexy woman is not going to escape Max that easily, because he’s a man on a mission, and his mission is seducing this exceptionally enticing female.
The second instalment in April Angel’s emotionally charged, searingly HOT erotic romance series “Sizzling Encounters” is just as captivating and engrossing as the first.
Crank up the AC, it’s about to get pressure cooker HOT in here!!!!

Now this was a really hot read. The more that I read from this author the hotter the stories get.

If you want to read a hot erotic story that will leave you hot then I would tell you that you really need to read Wicked Valentine.

Wish I had a hot boss that I could have wild sex with in the dark against a tree. The story just gets more and more into the sexual tension and suspense. When you have these two things running side beside you know that there will be fireworks. When I came to the ending I couldn't have came up with a better ending myself.

Way to go April!!

Wicked Valentine by April Angel is the second novella in her Sizzling Encounters series. Each book can be read as a standalone book.

Wicked Valentine is a sexy novella featuring Nina and her boss Max. They have the hots for each other but haven't acted on the feelings until Nina has a little too much to drink at a company retreat. After that hot night, Nina is still reluctant to start a relationship but Max is determined and makes her fantasies come true at a Valentine Party. Loved the story, highly recommend!

A very steamy read not for the faint of heart. I loved this story about the firey Nina and how she fights her feelings for Max. He is not having it and he finds away around her stand offish behavior. You see some of the same characters from Mr. Buff so I recommend reading that first. This book felt like there was way more sexy scenes in it that make you need cold shower if you are home alone.....lol have a feeling I will be rereading these books again and again.
