Extra pounds- don’t let the screen door hit you on the way out!

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Lean Cuisine, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #HonestlyGood #ad http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

Did you know that Lean Cuisine has launched a  NEW collection of Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals featuring six different varieties full of 100% all natural, wholesome ingredients?  Seriously good.   Since we are nearly in the middle of October already, with the holidays and all that yummy food looming in front of us, Lean Cuisine is just the answer I need to get myself back in the diet groove.

You see, life at chez Suzy has not quite been going as plan goal-wise. Back a month or so ago, I did my best to get off this downward slide I seem to be on with the old diet. I had several strongly worded talks with myself and tried my best to put myself back on a regimen in order to not backslide any further. I set some simple goals: Drink tons of water, get at least 3-4 workouts in per week and do not eat after dinner.

I did well for a week, then I went on vacation and all hell broke loose.

You see Devil Suzy LIVES for vacation. A week of sitting in the car right next to a bag of pretzels, mixed nuts and fig newton cookies (put there by my mother just in case we got hungry), started me right back down the path of “not so good for me” and headed straight to the land of “hello fat clothes”.

I got back to Atlanta and faced the scale. You know, it did occur to me to wait a week, but then again, avoiding the scale is one of the things that got me in trouble before. I gained a totally justified six pounds to add to the ten that I put on the first few months of the year. Just great. But you know what? It HAS to stop here.

So, I’ve been back for a week now. Been following the plan. You know, that crazy plan called, “Eat less, move more”. And I’ve dropped those extra six pounds. They were just visiting, fortunately. The other ten, however, have made themselves at home. They’ve already pulled up an easy chair and are lounging around enjoying a mint julep, nosing through my underwear drawer and looking at my personal emails. Those ten pounds have had time to make friends with the other fifty pounds that need to go and are now tag teaming me into Chunky Land. I’m sure they won’t be as easy to evict.

And that is where Lean Cuisine comes in.  Did you know you can find a huge variety of Lean Cuisine meals at Target?

What totally caught my eye was the new Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals featuring six different varieties full of 100% all natural, wholesome ingredients with a sauce you can add yourself.  They currently have a selection of Honey Citrus Chicken, Lemongrass Salmon, Pineapple Black Pepper Beef, Plum Ginger Grain-Crusted Fish, Pomegranate Chicken, and Roasted Red Pepper Chicken.

My new diet plan is to substitute a Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meal in place of one of my meals.  I love the idea of portion control that I don’t have to worry about.  But even more, I love the fact that the meals themselves look delicious!

I chose the Roasted Red Pepper Chicken to try first.  Look how fresh it looks in the package!  This just might be an awesome addition to my diet plan!  Peel back the cover and remove the sauce packet.  Thaw it in cold water while you heat the meal in the microwave.  Then add the sauce packet over the meat and heat for a few moments more…

Now tell me how awesome that looks!  A full, delicious well balanced meal in just a few moments!  Those extra pounds better start finding their way to the door.  I have a feeling that they won’t feel welcome that much longer!

Want to get on the healthy eating train with me?  Go check out the huge variety of Lean Cuisine meals at Target.  The Lean Cuisine Honestly Good Meals are in blue boxes and stand out from the rest in more ways than one.  You see, together with their farmers, Lean Cuisine is donating a portion of the vegetables grown for LEAN CUISINE HONESTLY GOOD meals to local communities.

Very cool.
