YES! I knew if I stuck with it, the series would get better! Wolfen Secrets is the 3rd book in The Western Werewolf Legend by Catherine Wolffe. The continuing tale of Tyler Loflin and Sonja Brooks and their new lives as werewolves. This book had a much smoother reading flow, a few less edit issues to distract me. Some of the "problems" between Tyler and Sonja in their relationship were a tad obvious, bordering on juvenile and unnecessary I felt. Still, they were believable moments. Finally, though, some of the depth to the plotline of the whole vampire/ werewolf dispute came alive! There was more action, more things to understand. Do I think it went far enough, no...not completely. It was just a huge step forward from the 2nd book, a step I was very thankful to find! I would still like to understand the whole history for HOW the vampire and werewolf clans even came to be, in relating to this tale. There were a few surprises with the characters, other things I saw coming. I felt the final battle ended a little too abruptly, but I like intensity in my reading and there was getting to be a good amount of that! I would actually like to see a future book for Jeb and Briann, the vampire side of it. This was a very good read!

I like the romance side of the story a lot more than the vampire/werewolf/witch/wolf-god side, so for me the story dragged when it wasn't focused on the romances. Nice movement across the country. Interesting take on the traditional North/South rivalry. Catherine Wolffe fans will be happy to continue the story.

Such a fun read, I love that this book is a period piece, it brings in Wolves and Vampires back to the days of Civil War, the challenge of keeping Sonja safe by her Wolfmate from the Vampires who want her blood, and the love story and of course fun sex appeal make this a fantastic read. It is definitely different and enjoyable. I would say 4 stars and would like to read more.

Totally enjoyed this book! This is the final book in the story of Sonja and Ty. She is the leader and alpha female of a group of soldiers, Ty is her mate. They have a power struggle at times and have to work thru this to become stronger. This book finishes the story nicely with some steamy scenes but a get story. Can't wait to read more by this author!

finally defeated the vampire and got to Texas just fine. if they wouldn't keep things from each other the battle they fought would have gone different. well written story.

Sonja Brooks , she and her mate, Tyler Loflin ,fight with the vampires in this third installment of a great series. Follow there love and adventures and get swept away.
