Ethical Fashion Show (EFS) is more than just an innovative Girls Inc. of the Island Cityprogram.
It's more than a Teen Runway Show and Competition.
It's about teens with a passion for:
Sustainable and environmentally-conscious fashion.
Zero-waste design and apparel made from recycled materials, thrift items, and upcycled clothing.
It's about looking good,
RESPONSIBLY.
Preparing for Ethical Fashion Show
Leading up to EFS, teens spend six weeks in intensive, hands-on workshops with experts on design, patterning, sewing, and finishing. They also learn how to create a business plan, and to price, market, and sell their upcycled creations. They select other teens to model their designs. The models learn about make-up, etiquette, and walking the runway.

In addition, EFS Teens researched and produced a video on the global problem of waste, especially in the apparel industry. This video will premiere at Ethical Fashion Show.
