Organizational Drawer Dividers

These slide-in dividers — pretty as they are practical — help to neatly store your everyday items. They can be made to fit virtually any size of container. And when lined in soft lace-trimmed fabric, they cushion fragile pieces and prevent snags on accessories such as socks, linens, and undergarments.

DIY Drawer Dividers

This idea comes from our friend, stylist Anne Wlaysewski.

  • Craft wood

  • Tape measure
  • Scissors

  2. Drawer Dividers DIY

Measure craft wood to fit as a divider for the drawer.

  3. DIY Drawer Dividers

Using a ruler as a guide, measure and mark a straight line on the craft wood with a pencil.

  4. DIY Drawer Dividers

Lay craft wood flat on a cutting board and, again, using a ruler as a guide, cut with a box cutter. Check to ensure that the wood divider fits neatly inside the drawer, standing upright.

Measure and cut a length of fabric to wrap around the divider, securing in place with adhesive. (Tip: Use a credit card to smooth out any wrinkles.) When dry, trim excess lace.

  6. DIY Drawer Dividers

    Place decorated dividers in box.
