Latino King of Comedy Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month in Atlanta

Sept. 11, 2009 - PRLog -- Najera’s DADDY DIARIES, directed for stage by Gary Blumsack, is a comedic live stage play about a “Hollywood guy” becoming “daddy guy”, from a Latino perspective and with the voice of his Mexican Dad ringing in his head. But when his daughter goes into surgery to remove a potentially cancerous, rare congenital Nevis, Najera must navigate the rocky road of fatherhood. He thinks the birthmark looks like the virgin of Guadalupe and thus begins the journey into this one-man show. “Daddy Diaries,” is in English peppered with Spanish and lasts for about an hour and a half.

The Event will count with the participation of elected officials, members of the diplomatic world, and business and civic  leaders of the multicultural  communities of the great state of Georgia.

As part of the celebration for the Hispanic Heritage Month, which begins on September 15, 2009, Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association will host their Second Annual Hispanic Heritage event featuring Rick Najera‟s latest play “Daddy Diaries.”
 
Najera‟s theatrical performance will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 8:00 p.m at the Rialto Center of the Arts, 80 Forsyth Street, on the corner of Forsyth and Luckie Streets. A VIP receptiheld at 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at http://ricknajerarialto.eventbrite.com/
