Zen Japanese Steakhouse And Sushi Bar

The food was good but on my birthday the birthday meal was not good.
The Service was petty good on my Bday they played the drums and it was fun.
The Ambiance was fire everytime they is a fire at the grill and it staed me but it look good inside and it gives off Japanese vibes.

Came in tonight, a couple other groups seated already and was not busy, server greeted us, had no knowledge about the menu and was not helpful at all then proceeds to admit the food was not good. My boyfriend ordered chicken and steak hibachi which was mid at best and very dry, the plate was covered in about 6 portions of rice and very little meat which for the price was not worth it. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll that was full of only cold soggy shrimp and an avocado cucumber roll that came out wrong somehow. Server checked on us once and did not notice it was wrong or even ask. She did not offer chopsticks or any sauces either. Overall, the building was kind of odd but also what you'd expect. We get home and immediately we are both feeling sick. Not writing this to be dramatic but save yourself from this experience lol

Good food. Service pleasant. Place dirty and needs to be cleaned throughout. Dust and dirt on walls and tables.

I was not impressed with the interior decor. It seemed old and dated. After spending 4 years in Japan, it was not what I expected. The staff was nice but disorganized and scattered. Two different people were bringing things to the table and they were bringing multiples of everything. The hibachi chef was fun and cooked food well. It tasted good. But, the next morning, I woke up with food poisoning. So, we probably won't go back.

Atmosphere inside is amazing, great interior decor. The food was really good, both the sushi and hibachi, of course being a hibachi place it will be expensive. The wait staff was friendly enough, but they do get visibly frustrated with larger groups if you try to split the bill, understandably I guess. We were hungry and it took awhile for them to get the orders in, which was a bit frustrating as the restaurant seemed emptier. Overall a good experience.

Just don't do it. Service isn't terrible but not great.Drinks are trash and Meakan is right down the street

When it comes to steak and shrimp cooked right in front of you this hands down is the place you have to visit. We have never left here disappointed!!

My family and I went out for some delicious hibachi, and this restaurant delivered! We had miso soup and fish soup to start out the meal, and every part of the soup, from broth to seaweed pieces, tasted umami and simply divine. The staff were all very kind, and the fire show at the grill was entertaining. The hibachi itself was well-cooked, tasty, and came with a variety of delicious sauces to dip the meat in. We will definitely go back again!

Had a party for 9 friends. As close to perfection as possible, the food and preparation was the best. Service was impeccable. My new favorite place to celebrate special occasions. They will not disappoint.

Something seems different. Food used to be spot on but the last few times I've eaten Zens, it's just been a little off. In the last 3 months I've been 4 times. We get the Hibachi steak. Medium rare. Only the steak was mostly raw. Seared on the outside and cool and red in the middle. It wasn't even warm steak. I ordered Zens to-go last night (2/22) and got the hibachi steak again only I decided to try the steak medium thinking it would be pink still and not so rare. I get home and nope. It's definitely well done and very tough. Needless to say I was sad. It's not the worst thing in the world but for what they charge, I want to enjoy it. Things were better before so I'm not sure why things have been inconsistent. Otherwise the rest of the food seemed to be pretty good. I'll keep going back but I hope the meat is right next time. In other news, the tempura is still delicious :)
