NORRISTOWN – The man wanted in connection with the Aug. 14 shooting of a 16-year-old on the 1000 block of Willow Street was arrested on Sunday on the 1100 block of West Main Street.

An anonymous caller told police 18-year-old Jerry Butler was in a home on West Main Street at approximately 11 a.m. Shortly after the call, police moved to the area and called the SWAT team to surround the area. Butler surrendered himself to police peacefully.

Butler is accused of shooting a 16-year-old on Aug. 14 on the 1000 block of Willow Street. The victim was shot through the chest and taken to the Hospital University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where the victim was treated for his wounds.

Police were able to positively identify Butler throughout the course of the investigation.

Butler will face charges on various counts of assault, robbery and carrying a firearm without a license.
