The CIRA exercise will take place on Saturday, June 22nd from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm. Volunteer check-in will begin at 7:30 am.

Volunteers are needed to fill the role of both aircraft passengers and crew members. To make the exercise as realistic as possible for emergency responders, the airport will use an actual aircraft fuselage. ‘Moulage’ (simulation makeup) will also be applied to volunteers to increase the realism of the exercise.

Volunteers will be asked to be at the airport at 7:30 am to have moulage applied and for the safety brief. The exercise will last approximately three hours. Following the exercise, all volunteers are invited to stay for a complimentary meal.

Volunteers will be required to stay for the full duration of the drill. The entire exercise will be conducted outdoors. Wear appropriate clothing and sunscreen.

Volunteers will be required to attend one training session prior to the exercise. The training session will be held at the McLean County Health Department (200 W. Front St., Bloomington) in Room 324 (3rd Floor) on Friday, June 21st. Training session options will be offered at 2:00-3:00 pm and 6:00-7:00 pm.

Volunteers must be 18 or older.
