How to Navigate the School System with a Special Needs Child

This fall, Los Angeles Unified will shift hundreds of disabled students from special-education centers to traditional schools. In this podcast we will focus on how you can prepare for the challenges this change may bring.

I’m very pleased to have Michelle Amundson to discuss ways to ensure the success of your special needs child or adolescent. Michele has a Master’s Degree in Special Education and is a teacher in the Torrance school district. She is also a tutor for special needs children.

She will be discussing the importance of communicating with your child’s case manager and how the IEP process should be conducted so that your child’s needs are properly addressed.
