ABOUT THE POSITION

There are currently temporary positions available in the Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Public Health.  Please note that we are hiring for these vacancies as soon as possible for our COVID-19 response. Please see "About the Process" below.
 
WORK SCHEDULE: The schedule may vary but is expected to be 24 to 40 hours per week. These temporary positions are expected to begin immediately and may continue for approximately 4 to 6 months. Required to work both remotely and in the field. 
 
The Clinic Registered Nurse (CRN) plays a major role in leading and participating with the Covid response team to include, Communicable Disease, Vaccinations, Contact Investigations, School and Commerce. Duties may include coordination and administration of immunizations, testing, contacting/communicating with residents, schools, commerce, and medical and community providers regarding COVID-19.
 
In addition, the CRN may also provide nursing, health education and counseling services to support the prevention, treatment and control of diseases or adverse health conditions, administration and adverse side effects of vaccination, and the promotion of optimal health. The CRN supports outreach efforts by assisting in creating content for informational materials and by conducting presentations for various audiences.

The CRN has demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, medical providers, community organizations, and the public.  Our candidate is proficient with computers and various software programs and adept to learning new software applications. The successful candidate is organized, dependable, and flexible. The CRN has demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and follow policies and procedures.

Certificates and Licenses:

Disaster Service Workers: All County of Marin employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law (California Government Code Section 3100-3109). Employment with the County requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker-related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
