Purpose and Scope

In addition to being a world leader in the chemicals industry with sales of around $40 billion, INEOS is proud to support two internationally acclaimed children’s charities: The Daily Mile Foundation (TDM), and INEOS’ own GO Run For Fun Foundation (GRFF). INEOS is seeking two proactive and capable Marketing Communications Assistants to work with the Project Director, Partnerships Manager and INEOS sites to promote and support these successful children’s running campaigns.

Successful candidates will be responsible for promoting and supporting the strong growth of these campaigns in the UK and abroad. They will also work closely with strategic partners and 3rd party agencies to deliver high calibre children’s running events and in-school marketing materials, including an educational programme (GRFF), and a recognition scheme (TDM). Both roles will work closely with INEOS corporate communications, as title sponsor of these Foundations, for internal marketing communications opportunities and brand protection, and will also work closely with the Project Director to develop other internal projects as necessary.

Main Duties

  1. ADMINISTRATION & GOVERNANCE:

    • Assist with general governance and administration for the Foundation

    • Liaise with 3rd party agencies to deliver the campaign (UK & international)

    • Manage database of participating/interested schools and partners/supporters

    • Assist the Project Director with additional INEOS projects, as required

  2. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLICITY:

    • Manage direct-to-school communications (e.g. mailshots, social media, telephone)

    • Attend GRFF events and produce guidance document for successful delivery

    • Assist with marketing and delivery of in-school programme(s) and marketing materials (e.g. structured gathering of feedback post-events; management of digital resources including websites and social media)

    • Assist with wider marketing communications(e.g. press releases) including management of internal INEOS coms to actively engage INEOS sites and employees in both programmes

  3. NETWORK & PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT:

    • Work closely with the Project Director and Partnerships Manager to support existing strategic partners to implement the campaign(s), e.g. liaising with events companies, LEAs, NHS CCGs and CSPs

    • Establish new strategic partnerships (e.g. research partners, celebrity ambassadors, NGOs)

    • Work with strategic partners and 3rd party agencies to deliver new in-school programme(s) and coordinate international roll out

Personal specification - Skills and experience

  • Min 2.1 Undergraduate degree – education/business/humanities preferred

  • Min 6-months experience working in the charity sector (esp. communications, operations)

  • Min 6-months experience working in marketing/PR/events delivery

  • Excellent written and spoken communication is essential

  • Strong organisational, administrative and planning skills are essential

  • Strong IT and social media skills are essential (Outlook, Microsoft Office, CRM, and WordPress)

  • Understanding of the primary school sector desirable

  • Ability to work flexibly and travel when required

Additional Information

  • Interests in education, health and sport desirable

  • Must be willing to acquire an enhanced DBS check prior to starting work

  • Some out-of-hours work may be required (e.g. for publicity events)

  • Working with children in the nursery and primary age range (3-12 years)

  • Role to be based in central London office with flexibility to travel
