Brigs Ferry Bay #3

Callan's Atlas

Rate this book
From USA Today bestselling author K Webster comes a steamy and emotional age-gap MM romance!

When we moved from New York to Maine, life was supposed to get easier, not harder.
Change, for me, was difficult.
I became the target of terrible crimes that resulted in sending a once-beloved man of the community to prison for a very long time.

Now that I'm eighteen, I could move back to the Big Apple, but fear has me rooted in place.
I hate what that monster did to me.
Looks like I'm stuck here for good.
Brigs Ferry Bay’s unhappiest gay.

Each day, the darkness closes in around me more and more.
Black clothes. Black mood. Black thoughts. Black eyeliner.
The color in my life bled from me months ago and never came back.

Until him.
Atlas Larson.
Newest cop on the BFB police force.
Too hot. Too strong. Too old for me. Too…everything.

Atlas is a rebellious, bossy, mouthy brute who likes to provoke me.
Every encounter starts with heat and ends with an argument.
Color begins sneaking back into my world little by little.
He reminds me of who I once was and shows me who I’m meant to be.

I crave to leave this town once and for all.
But now that I’ve found the courage to do it, the arrogant jerk with a badge might find a way to keep me here and in his arms forever.

***Brigs Ferry Bay is a steamy MM romance series. While each book can be read as a standalone, in order to get the full experience, they're best read in order. Enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, hurt comfort, age-gap romance, and so much more. Fall in love with the charming small-town gay romances of Brigs Ferry Bay...***

5 Dirty Cop's Captive Stars ⭐

“You’re the gloomiest rainbow I ever did see.”

I flip him the bird. “And you’re the most lawless cop I’ve ever met.”

It all comes to a head in the homophobic village of Brigs Ferry Bay when Atlas Larson joins their police department. A gay man himself, he's not intimated by the old timers or their bigotry. He's here to stay and becoming enamored with his new boy toy Callan, is the driving force to making a difference whatever the cost.

I’m going to have him. So goddamn soon. This foreplay between us is like a tautly-pulled cord, and I’m seconds from cutting through it whether he’s ready or not.
I’m coming, little Callan.
Be ready.

Poor darling Callan Kincaid. At 18 years old he has suffered far too much trauma because of his sexuality. And unfortunately the blows keep coming. He somehow finds himself the target for these anti gay fuckers who want to snub him out.

Cloaked in darkness, the colour of his despair, it will take a much older Atlas to draw him out of this nightmare. Where his family and friends feel the need to shelter him, Atlas wants to unravel him and put him back together. And by doing so he's providing colour into Callan's life.

“Let me tell you a secret,” I murmur, stroking my fingers over one of his nipples. “I’m broken too. Have been for a long-ass time. You know what happens when you put two broken people together?”

“What?”

“You get something whole.”

This story was the perfect addition to this series. The depth of emotions and the kinky connection between Atlas and Callan had me captivated. The man who's prepared to take charge and play protector, and the despondent boy who's salivating for this kind of attention.

“Seriously. So far, you’re a kinky asshole with a skilled tongue.”

“You’re going to have fun with me,” I assure him. “You’re going to be safe with me. You’re going to have many, many orgasms with me.”

Callan's Atlas had it all. Drama, suspense, heartache and my favourite kind of naughty times. Dirty, romantic and filled with all consuming love. 💕

“You know what happens when you put two broken people together?” “What?” “You get something whole.”

A Seductive & Enthralling MM Age-Gap Small-Town Romance with a Captivating Story, Plenty of Feels & Heat, Beloved Characters, Kinky Fun, Suspense & Drama, & My Fav...Love & HEA!
Since Sheriff's Secret, I've been so excited for Callan's book...& here it is! With the Rebel Atlas, who can handle Cal's cute bratty ass so well😏. I loved Callan & Atlas so much! DEVOURED this in 5hrs. It was fun to see our gang again!

Callan Kincaid; Artistic, Creative, Emotional; is 18 & Dante's Little Brother. He's been through a lot (In events of "Sheriff's Secret"), the few homophobes here dimming his light, Blacking it all, colors gone. He's Bratty & lashes out to his loved ones, just wanting to be free & normal, not stifled.
"Callan Kincaid is perfect. I’m going to have him in every goddamn way possible. One little nibble at a time."

Atlas Larson; Unapologetic, Reckless, Alpha-Asshole; is almost 40, Brie's Brother, & BFB's newest cop. He'd stayed away due to the homophobes (Specifically his parents & the mayor) but is back to Stop all the hate crime. He has a "Don't give a fuck" attitude that's so intriguing, But when he cares/loves, he does it deep & hard!
"Atlas is both chaos and cure for my dying creativity and will for life."

When these two meet, holy fire, instant connection! All that back & forth banter is like foreplay. He brings the colors in Cal's life back ❤💛💙. Unlike many Age-Gap Romances, the angst was low. They both wanted eachother & didn't care what others thought. But Callan being hard to get, made it even more fun (For me & Atlas!).
~Friends & talks, The diner meet, Own work & intuition, Gay talks, Paints, Saving & Hot, Bed help, the Dare, Disgusting homophobes, no more Hate-Crime...

Sometimes Callan's so like Dante, it's cute! & Oh Atlas, that kinky fucker, He's his own brand! He handles Callan's Bratty so well, sees his potential. These two just fit. Atlas's a guy Cal can lean on. They knew from start what they had is special 😍. Their relationship grew quite Beautifully from Strangers to Roomies to Lovers, Feelings so strong. Their emotional & Vulnerable moments were so sweet; The Sexy & RolePlay damn Fiery!
~The Rainbow vigilante (?!), Emotional Talks & Roomies, Kiss & Deal, Savior, Sparkles, Gift, sexy & Kinky🔥, Cute dinner, Being boyfriends, Twitass...

But in typical K. Webster fashion, we get Suspense & Mystery, coming from the homophobes in town which are out for the Kincaids since they've come to Town *Angry huff*. Then There's Zak's (Jax's bro) unrequited love for his bestie & Sometimes Fuck-Buddy Cal, which was expected & unexpected too. But Zak cares a lot for Cal so the issue isn't really a big problem (I loved Seeing Their friendship get back). We had Action scenes & Find the identity of Rainbow Vigilante (ooh ya, ikr!!🌈). Omg, the Reactions (Especially Dante & Jax's!) to Confessions & truths here are so fun!

Callan & Atlas have a united front *Swoon*, but with the Calm...soon comes the storm. THOSE HOMOPHOBIC BASTARDS!! What a Showdown, so Heart-racing! My heart ached for Atlas, But Callan's Brain got'em out of mess & hopefully, The 'phobes now backed down once & for all *Fist-pump*.
~Weeks pass & Found, Banding together, The Scary Call, Care & Fight, The Set up *Oh shit*, I love yous, Plan & Win *Yay!*, Christmas together, Wedding shower & Surprises, HEA...!
Atlas & Callan's deserves love & all the happiness, The ending & Epilogue were Gorgeous!

P.S. The bonus has me pumped up for Zak's book! I hope we get to see Dante & Jax's wedding, which was being planned here.
So excited for Fernando's book next! I'm loving this series & town (Disregarding the few Homophobes, whom I hate😝).

Holy Hotness 😍😍 I'm in love 😍😍😍

Aside Adler's Hart, this is my favorite in the series!!!
Callan and Atlas are explosive together and i wore a grin for the whole book because .. ATLAS!!!
Omg that man is something else 😍😍
He is reckess, raw, intense, fearless with an "i don't give a fuck" attitude that make him an asshole sometimes 😂 but that's part of his charm 😍 and at the same time he is so caring and protective ... It melts my heart 🖤🖤
And Callan, my sweet little Callan... He is been through hell, and his colour world have been black for the past year. But one look at the big older men is enough to bring colours back in his life ❤️💙💛
The way they interact to each others it's what i love the most.
Their back and forth it's so funny: Callan being a brat and Atlas being an asshole 😂
The passion between the two of them is undeniable, and hot AF ( and kinky 😏😏) 🔥🔥🔥
And the love they carry for each others is the most beautiful thing you gonna see 😍😍
K Webster mix all of that with a little of angst and suspense: through the entire book you can feel something bad gonna happens and it make you want to read faster...
Plus it has a positive message that's necessary now more than ever: hate is not allowed and love is love, no matter the gender ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

The only thing that "bother" me is the easy resolution of the big problem at the end ( maybe because i didn't want it to end 😂).
But it's definitely a must read.

PS. the bonus scene about Zak made me eager for his story 🤩🤩 it's gonna be amazing!!

Genre: M/M Romance
Type: Standalone Book 3 from Brigs Ferry Bay series
POV: First Person - Dual
Rating:
4.25 Stars

All Callan Kincaid wanted was to live a normal life in Brigs Ferry Bay. But it was made difficult when a certain group of small-minded people made his lifestyle choice an issue. Atlas Larson, a new cop who recently came back to his hometown vowed to make a difference. But his own history might make things even harder for both of them.

I like that this book is heavier than what I originally expected. The issues the characters had to go through, made me angry and feel for them. However, since I’ve never read the other books in the series, I didn’t get the full story of Callan’s background and I thought the ending was too easy.

Everyone wants to talk. I just want everyone to shut the hell up.

Atlas was the complete opposite of what I thought he would be and I’m thankful for that. He was a dirty man with a certain kink, while Callan was a horny young man eager to please him.

Callan’s Atlas is a story of standing up for one’s happiness. It would appeal to readers who enjoy MM Romance in a small town setting.

Callan and Atlas's story was emotional and full of passion and horrendous outside interlopers.
We first met Callan in Sheriff's Secret. He was brutally attacked and injured. In Callan's Atlas we find that he has lost his sparkle and shine, dresses in all black, and obviously uses his snark and sassy mouth to hide his pain. After meeting Atlas color slowly starts to seep back into his world, his moods represented by the reds, yellows, greens and blues that he feels in his heart. I loved how K Webster showcased his emotions with the use of color, it resonates with my soul.
This story is about hope, love and life in all its beauty, darkness and light.

I was curious to meet Atlas Larson after his brief name drops in Sheriff’s Secret and Shift of Morals. The retired Marine and new deputy sheriff for Brigs Ferry Bay didn’t fail to disappoint. He is rough around the edges, doesn’t take shit from anyone, isn’t afraid to speak his mind, and has a peculiar set of kinks that leave Callan craving everything he has to offer.

The bigoted members of the BFB community have no idea how to handle Atlas’ brand of justice so they resort to childish antics that include bullying, rumors, and intimidation. It’s hard to believe that someone’s parents could hate them to such a degree they attack and attempt to sabotage their own child. Yup the elder Larson’s are despicable.

We witnessed all that Callan endured in his few short months in BFB during Jax and Dante’s book, now close to a year later we’re seeing how Callan’s adjusting to life. He may have his childish moments yet the things he’s endure in life have hardened him and forced him to mature.

The idea of planting roots and building a relationship are foreign to Atlas. He’s never allowed himself to be emotionally attached to a person or place. He’s been a nomad moving at the whims of the military since the day he left BFB. Now at nearly forty he’s back home and completely enthralled with the likes of Callan Kincaid. From the moment he sees the darkness in Callan’s eyes he knows they share a kinship forged through battle.

There was so much to love about this book but I feel saying much more will give away all the fun parts. Just go read it and enjoy your time in Brigs Ferry Bay!!

🌈The Rainbow Vigilante is revealed in more than one hilarious way.

🌈Zak Bell and Cormac Jordan are still a part of Callan’s life. I hope we get I see more from them both down the road. Although I do not want to see them as a couple…that one just seems wrong.

🌈The brief mention of the roadside killings reminds you that Sheriff’s Secret mentioned the wolf legends. So if you’re curious about WTH happened in Beacon Island National Forest go read Shift of Morals.

🌈Thankfully we were treated to a potential budding HEA for Brie Larsen in the (now unpublished) Miss B from the Knocked Up anthology. Hopefully it will re-released in the future and hopefully she'll get her own book within the BFB universe, even if it’s a MF novella.

🌈And although this is a MM series I hope we get Shelly Kincaid HEA’s woven into the background at some point too. She’s played a pivotal role in more than one book so far.

🌈Terry and Leah Larson - co-owners of Larson & Larson Law Firm. Also Atlas and Brie’s parents. They too run in the Mayor’s inner circle.

🌈Wallace Powers & son Jeremy Powers - family owns the BFB Country Club and run in the Mayor’s inner circle.

🌈Found it interesting that Kian, Archer, Adler, and Hart were not mention, by anyone. I understand they’re Misty Walker’s character but this IS a small town after all. And I adored Cato’s Lumber Parties, the manly slumber parties!! I can seriously imagine Callan partying while Atlas while Archer and Adler act all gruff on the side with some beers.

I keep saying every book in the series is my favorite but honestly I am absolutely totally completely in love with Callan and Atlas.

We’ve already met Callan in the books prior, he’s the brother of Dante and Shelly. He’s a young 18-year-old teenager who is considered Brigs Ferry Bay’s unhappiest gay.
His former coach and history teacher was his abuser and tormentor in high school. He ended up getting brutally attacked and left for dead in a previous book.
“The day he tried to kill me was the day I stopped seeing the world in color and started only seen it in shades of black.”

Callan is lost. He doesn’t think he can love anyone anymore. He has his best friend Zak who is in love with Callan but it’s a one-way street with the love.
He’s a sad boy who wears all black with black eyeliner.

Then we meet Atlas. At almost 40 years old, he spent the last two decades traveling for the military never settling down and recently moved back to his hometown in Brigs Ferry Bay and is the newest cop in town... and to seek a little payback to the ones who ran him out of town when he was once caught kissing another boy.

Oh my goodness. These two just vibe with each other off the bat. Atlas is very curious about who this grumpy outspoken depressing 18-year-old boy is. They both take an interest in each other quite fast and off the charts chemistry with each other. It’s different. And sexual. And so freaking hot. Nipple play anyone? 😈
Because everyone is concerned over Callan’s mental health, it’s kept on the downlow for a while especially kept away from Callan’s siblings.

“I’m broken, Atlas. That’s why they want to fix me. Because I’m broken.”
“Let me tell you a secret, “I murmur, stroking my fingers over one of his nipples.“ I am broken too. Have been for a long ass time. You know what happens when you put two broken people together? “
“What?”
“You get something whole”.

If you read the books prior, then you know there is a rainbow vigilante. Someone who keeps tagging buildings with rainbows. The answer as to who the hell has been doing this is answered in this book!

Brigs Ferry Bay has a lot of bullies and a lot of homophobia from the older generation still living there. It’s a worldwide issue and this small town is no different unfortunately. What I love is the bullies are getting what they deserve. The fact that the majority of the police officers are gay in this town make me incredibly happy because they are actively seeking justice and helping the LGBTQ community feel safe.
This is such a feel-good story about two lost souls connecting and finding love despite the age gap. The sex scenes of course we’re just off the charts hot. There’s just something about a strong older dominate masculine man and a more colorful younger flamboyant male together.. it’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥.

And if you haven’t read K. Webster’s PNR, Shift of Morals, there’s a little Easter egg in this book which got me really happy!
You get a sneak peek for the next book which is by Misty Walker. And K.Webster gave us a bonus scene from Callan’s BFF Zak POV, And holy crap does she drop a juicy bombshell. He most likely is getting his own book it sounds like and I am so here for it. Because I already know I’m absolutely in love with the golden boy Zak Bell.

Once again this book has a beautiful HEA for these characters. There are weddings to be planned from previous characters. And everything just flows really beautiful with every character we’ve been introduced to. I am completely in love with this entire series!

I feel the need to shout "READ THIS BOOK! READ THIS SERIES!" because this series is phenomenal, and this book is easily one of my TOP/FAVORITE reads of 2021!

Rating: 5 OMG THIS IS AMAZING stars

OMG! The Brigs Ferry Bay (BFB) series is getting better with each book! How is that even possible? I was already in love with BFB, and Callan’s Atlas just solidified my love for these characters and this town where love triumphs over hate.

Callan, Dante’s little brother, was in Sheriff’s Secret, and we watched him spiral until the day his coach lost it and almost killed Callan beating him with a baseball bat, all because Callan was gay. A year later, Callan is still suffering the trauma from that awful day, both mentally and physically. The intolerance is boiling over in this small town and Callan has a bullseye on his back. Sweet Callan, who used to love art, color, and life...now only sees black and bleak.

Atlas, Brie's older brother, is almost 20 years older than Callan, but when he first meets the boy in black with the kohl lined eyes, and a snarky attitude, he is intrigued. Atlas left BFB 20 years ago and he is no stranger to intolerance either. So, when Brie and Jax reach out to him to take a position in the sheriff's office to help combat the crime and hate in BFB, he realizes it is time to come back.

Atlas is now a cop in BFB with a mission. A mission to stop the hate in BFB and he is willing to arrest every person that spews intolerance and boy does he flip BFB on its axis because he will arrest even those at the highest level…. which puts a bullseye on his back.

Callan and Atlas' journey is heartbreakingly beautiful and intense. Two broken souls coming together to find color in the world again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I’m broken, Atlas. That’s why they want to fix me. Because I’m broken.” “Let me tell you a secret,” I murmur, stroking my fingers over one of his nipples. “I’m broken too. Have been for a long-ass time. You know what happens when you put two broken people together?”
“What?”“You get something whole.”
“Something whole,” he repeats, words barely audible. “Something whole.”
If you are looking for a series that will both warm and break your heart, has fantastic world building, characters you will either love or hate, and some seriously hot steam and romance… This is a series for you! I can't recommend this book and the BFB series enough.
1.5 stars. I found this book really... problematic. Look, I know fiction is fiction. It's fantasy, it's entertainment. And for sure I'm not going to read too much into gay erotic literature, but this book made me so uncomfortable. And I need to spoil it a bit to explain why. So, yeah, I was hugely disappointed and like a bit disgusted in places. This book could have easily been something entirely else, but instead, the author chose to do some pretty unnecessary and exploitative stuff. Besides which, the plot was just not as sharp as the previous books. The villains were caricatures and the MCs nowhere near as likeable. I've chosen to round up and not down because I did enjoy the first two books a fair amount, but this just felt icky and lazy.
This is the third book in the Brigs Ferry Bay series and features Callan and Atlas. If you read the first book in this series then you know Callan is Dante’s brother and they moved from New York to Maine and it has not been an easy change for Callan. In book 1, Callan is horrifically almost beat to death for being gay. Callan used to see life in vibrant colors but the trauma from that day weighs heavy on his soul. It weighs him down mentally, emotionally and physically and he now sees the world in black. His friends and family worry about him but he feels suffocated.
Sadly, even a year later, Callan is a constant target in the small town because he’s gay and the man that brutally beat him went to jail for it. Fear is a constant emotion for him and he doesn’t feel safe. Until Atlas.
Atlas Larson is Brie’s brother and the new officer with the Brigs Ferry Bay police department. He’s finally returned to Brigs Ferry Bay and is way older than Callan, dominant, brutally honest and an all around badass guy. When Atlas and Callan meet, sparks fly and Atlas knows he wants Callan in his bed. Callan and Atlas circle each other and their sexual tension soon blows up and they find they may not be able to walk away from each other.
As Callan and Atlas begin their new relationship, Atlas is on a mission to rid the town of intolerance and make Callan feel safe again. But there are people around them opposed to that. Can Atlas help Callan? Can Callan and Atlas make each other whole?
I really loved this. It was an intense and emotional read and I found myself completely in love with Atlas and Callan. They had their own brand of relationship and it was absolutely perfect. Overall, if you want a steamy, age-gap, emotional and entertaining MM read, I highly suggest this one.
I love a good age gap and that’s exactly what this was. Atlas is in his 40s and Callan is 18. The protective alphaness of Atlas was EVERYTHING. And I loved how Callan was able to find his independence and love for life again thanks to the new BFB PD officer hehe.
And the ending was SWOON.
Also, I totally knew Callan was the RV the whole series but the reveal to his family was done perfectly haha.
I love this town, I love this author and I adore these characters together. I am simply enamored of this series and can’t wait to read more about all of the unique characters residing in Brigs Ferry Bay.
We met Callan as the younger brother of Dante in Sheriff’s Secret. The young, trust fund kid who has lost his parents, been uprooted from New York City to backwater Brigs Ferry Bay by his siblings, and is struggling to fit in as a gay teen in a homophobic small town. He’s been the target of so much abuse by people in the town, both physical and mental, and you can’t help but want him to finally catch a break. Surrounded by people that love him, Callan feels stifled by their protection and coddling, and longs to break out of the darkness consuming him. He feels that any change is hopeless. Until Atlas walks in.
Having suffered the same homophobia in the town as a teen, Atlas left only to return as an adult, the town’s new police officer ready to take on the townspeople and their narrow minded, bullying beliefs. What he doesn’t expect is to find a brooding boy that turns his black and white world to every shade of the rainbow. Atlas is gruff, domineering, and kinky as hell. He gets what he wants, and what he wants is Callan. He wants to dominate him, he wants to care for him, and rather than smother Callen with his protection, Atlas wants to be the one to set him free.
I adored these two men together. They could not have been more opposite. One was a big, burly lumberjack of a man, the other was a butterfly that brought beauty and color with his presence. One was older and had seen enough of the world to be jaded. One was younger and although wise beyond his years, still had so much to experience. And yet they worked perfectly. Their relationship was sexy and fun and oh so loving and caring, and I just fell for both of them, while also growing more and more in love with the other characters I’d already met and knew I liked.
I did feel like the underlying story of the townspeople who abused Callan got resolved too quickly and swept under the rug faster than I would have liked, but that didn’t stop me from absolutely devouring this book.
It did come with a teaser for the next story by K. Webster focusing on Zak, Jax’s brother who had to watch Callan fall in love with a man other than himself. Short, quick and to the point, this teaser has perfectly set up the next story that I have to eagerly await.
Callan Kincaid was forced to move to Brigs Ferry Bay with his brother Dante. He has been miserable here with the acceptation of a few friends that stayed with him during a traumatic event. He would go back home to NY now that he is 18 but when the new cop Atlas Larson comes to town, Callan might just stay a little longer. Closed off after painful events, can Atlas awaken the happy guy Callan used to be? Oh wow, I could not stop smirking at Atlas’s antics. What a wonderful story and this colorful town is everything! These two will have you rooting for their love! Another great addition to this small town, MM romance world! This isn’t just a romance though as it deals with real life issues in the world of acceptance. You don’t have to read the others in this series but I would recommend it as you get the full back story and experience of all these fabulous characters. A must read! Told in dual POV
This book is super intense. Very nasty homophobic people are a constant. It made me a little anxious for Callan’s safety many times. He was always in peril!
I mean he already had a baseball bat to the head in book 1 what more could he endure in his own book.
I wish I would have had a bit more warning tbh. Several townspeople are VERY homophobic in this book. To the extreme. Gay slurs. Just full on bigotry. This is your trigger warning ,if homophobia bothers you ,this might not be the book for you.
Homophobia was like another main character in this book.
Was the chemistry hot? Sure.
Was there an HEA. Uh huh.
BUT do the baddies get their comeuppance? Not even close ugh. For this reason, the max I could give this book is 3 stars ⭐️. So disappointing.
K. Webster proved once again that she is the queen of writing kinky, filthy, emotional and all consuming MM romance. Callan's Atlas made me blush and made me swoon and made me lose my heart somewhere in Brigs Ferry Bay. It was just a delicious slice of forbidden treat with twisted passion balanced with whole load of heartwarming emotions.
Atlas Larson has escaped Brigs Ferry Bay years back to go away from his judgmental parents. And now he has returned as a cop on request of town's sheriff Jax. He is determined to end the homophobia running through the town and bring justice to the people. And then he meets Callan Kincaid. The young man with darkness eating him inside out after he was attacked brutally. He is unhappy and dying inside till Atlas forces his arrogant way in his life. Can Atlas protect him and at the same time let him free from his prison?
The stories I previously read from this series were on the sweeter side so the intensity and kinky sides of this story hit me so hard. And I loved it! This is vintage K Webster. Age gap. Enemies to lovers. All kind of filthy plays with lots of bedroom games those will make your eyes go wide and mouth hang open. But at the same time, this story is super emotional and soulful. Brigs Ferry Bay always had a great ensemble of amazing characters. But Atlas is the boss. Oh I fall so hard and fast for his cocky attitude, sweet dominance and dirty mind. Callan was hurt so bad and the trauma breaks him every day but Atlas dragged him out of the blackhole. Rather than handling him with gloves and caution, Atlas pushed Callan everyday till he started forgetting his brokenness and believing in himself. I cheered for Atlas as he brought down the haters and I hate them with the glare of a thousand suns! The quaint small town is a far beautiful and safer place now. It wasn't an easy journey. Atlas and Callan had some real challenges. For Atlas to find a balance between his overwhelming protectiveness, his intense desire to hurt Callan in the most desirable ways and letting Callan find his own space. Callan had to find trust again and let himself fly without Atlas or his family smothering him. They are real soulmates and I ship them so hard!
Callan's Atlas by K. Webster goes to top five of my all time favourite MM romance. I am so in love with this pair.
***5 ‘You’re The Crime I Commit’ Stars***
Ok. This book.
First off ~ I FREAKIN’ ADORED Atlas and Callan.
ADORED.
They made my heart all.
But…(ahh the dreaded ‘BUT’)
O.M.G did this book make me ragey.
I shouldn’t have been surprised considering what has already happened in the series, but still.
RAGEY.
So here I am with these two very strong and intense emotions because of this book...but it was still a great read.
So. Atlas and Callan. My heart hurt for all that Callan has been through, but watching him ~ for lack of a better word ~ “bloom” and become settled in his own skin was amazing. Atlas. I have a thing for alpha AF asshat males with good hearts and this man hit all the right buttons and then some ~ and lemme tell you, his “and then some” is kind of everything. He is who he is and he is everything.
Their journey to the HEA was a lot of fun. The enemies to lovers was mild and I honestly forgot that there was an age gap (for the most part) because they totally worked for me on all levels. Their bantering was a lot of fun...the smexy was SMEXY and I loved that they balanced each other out and truly adored each other. The bumps in the road were to be expected and I loved where they were at in the end.
As for what made me ragey. If you’ve read the first two books in the series (and you really should if you haven’t) you’ll know that this small town is not without its issues and prejudices and well...things do get crazy ~ again. So there are triggers and...yeah…*deep breath in/slow breath out*
And then there are the unique cast of characters who reside in Brig’s Ferry Bay. I loved catching up with Jax and Dante and seeing how things were going with them and I loved getting to know Zak, Cormac, Brie and Jarrett better because they are all awesome. But Cato still takes the cake. I love that man. Seriously. Love. And that whole Sparkles situation ~ I snort laughed.
So, in the end. I loved this book and cannot wait to get my hands on the next in the series!
I was really excited to get Callan's story after seeing everything that happened in to him in Sheriff's Secret. I feel like Callan has been through too much, so he definitely deserves a happy ending. This one’s definitely a little sexier, with lots of details and kink. Not to mention, you get a little bit of danger and mystery with the romantic suspense aspect as well! Atlas is the perfect mixture of protective but also supportive. He treats Callan like an adult, which is so different from Callan's family and friends. They're just worried about him and a little over protective of him, and for good reason after what has happened, but it's not helping him get past it. They're definitely smothering him. It’s nice to see him find himself again. I also really enjoyed Callan's love of art! His colors and his outfits just put a smile on my face. There is quite the age-gap, but these two just work together! Thank you to Candi Kane PR and K Webster for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!
A bit disappointed
I love how sassy Callan is and let's not forget the very protective grump cop Atlas.
However, I was very disappointed when everything is unraveled. We see Callan constantly embarrassed and called names. We see these gentlemen and kids getting away with it. Atlas gets framed for trying to protect Callan. It was a good set up.
BUT THEN BOOM disappointment,
Callan hired a lawyer and you see nothing it just says charges dropped. With all the crap they went through with Ned, Atlas's parents, and the kids why couldn't we have seen it play out.
It made the book bomb in my eyes, still have it 3 Stars because it's Briggs Ferry duh. Now though I'm reluctant to read the next.
At 18 years old, Callan Kincaid is trying to find his way, but with a constant threat over his head, his family and friends are smothering him. Returning to town as a Brigs Ferry Bay police officer, Atlas Larson is familiar with the influential locals set in their ways. When Atlas notices Callan, he feels a strong pull to toward him and isn’t about to walk away.
“Are you going to stay in your dark world, or are you going to let me lead the way?”
Narrated in dual POV, it’s apparent that Callan is suffering and Atlas takes notice. Though there is an age gap, Atlas doesn’t coddle Callan and he offers the independence he needs. For Callan, feeling safe and loved is paramount and Atlas delivers just what he craves.
Immediately, I was drawn to both Atlas and Callan. Atlas screams alpha in a police uniform and Callan is softens Atlas’ broodiness. Together, they have combustible chemistry, especially given Atlas’ kinky nature and Callan’s choice of eyeliner. Though the ending was rushed for my liking, Callan and Atlas are memorable characters with enough tenacity to fight against homophobia.
Callan’s Atlas is a MM age-gap romance about taking a stand against hatred and embracing oneself.
Callan Kincaid, 18 and Dante's younger brother. Callan is angry, angry and afraid. He lost his self confidence after the horrendous ordeal at the hands of the son of one of the town's dignitaries.
Black clothes. Black mood. Black thoughts. Black eyeliner.
Atlas Larson, 39, newest addition to the Brigs Ferry Bay's PD, is back home. The moment Atlas meets Callan he is obsessed, as is Callan. Slowly Atlas manages to bring Callan back into the light and colour. They embark on a intens and kinky relationship and Atlas grows more and more protective of Callan.
And Callan needs the protection, because the town's dignitaries are openly attacking and threatening him.
The issues in this book were quite intens, I was truly repelled by the utter disgust and menacing homophobic behaviour.
Callan’s Atlas is book 3 in the Brigs Ferry Bay series. This series is co-written by K Webster and Misty Walker, with each author writing their own books for the series. All of the books, at least this far, are set in a town in Maine called Brigs Ferry Bay.
So far there is:
Book 1 - Sheriff’s Secret written by K Webster
Book 1.5 - Bossy Mr. Frosty written by K Webster
Book 2 - Kian’s Focus written by Misty Walker
Book 2.5 - Adler’s Hart written by Misty Walker
Not part of this series but loosely connected is - Shift of Morals by K Webster (MM PRN Shifter)
Book 3 - Callan’s Atlas written by K Webster
Callan’s Atlas is about Callan Kincaid and Atlas Larson. For those who read book 1 in this series, you will remember Callan as Dante’s little brother. Atlas is new to the series. He is Deputy Brie Larson’s older brother, and he has now joined the BFB Sheriff’s office. This book is MM and has an age gap.
I won’t give any details regarding the story itself, but I will say that I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. I stayed up way past my bedtime reading and only closed my kindle when my eyes were too blurry to continue but then I ended up waking up super early and reading in bed until I finished the book. Not only did this book keep me on the edge of my seat at times, but it was also super hot. Like 5 out of 5 flames hot. I liked these characters a lot. I became very absorbed in their lives and invested in their wellbeing.
Although, technically, these books can be read as standalone, I really recommend starting at the beginning and working through them in order. I feel like it is more fulfilling and rewarding that way.
I recommend this book and the whole series so far. I am looking forward to book 4 being released. That book will be Leif’s Serenity, written by Misty Walker.
GAWD, Kristi can pull some serious emotion out of me without even trying! I mean obviously she tried; she wrote the book lol but ya’ll know what I’m saying! I didn’t expect this story but that’s totally on me, because this is what Kristi has always delivered … kinky goodness wrapped in a big heart!!
The characters that she created with Callan and Atlas were so incredibly well matched. It was because of each other that they navigated to the other side of their past and brought light into each other’s lives. It was beautiful you guys, so damn toughing and just full of all the goodness (with a side of my favorite gritty dirty kinky sexy sexy *wink*)
If said this before like a million times but in case someone hasn’t heard it yet, there is no trope this woman cannot write and write it spectacularly. Her stories are not always for me, but you can bet your (whatever you wanna bet) that they will always be well developed and satisfying!
Oh Callan. I just want to hug him! He was forced to move to Brigs Ferry Bay, then experienced a horrible event that still haunts him. Now that he is 18 he could go off on his own and leave the small town behind for good. Callan’s life you to be full of color, but that has slowly gone to black. However, there is a new cop in town and there is something about him that Callan is drawn to and slowly brings some color back into his life
Atlas had left BFB years ago, but now he is back. The moment he lays eyes on Callan he knows there is something different about him. He see’s something in him and he instantly wants him despite their age gap and the fact that his boss is practically Callan’s brother-in-law.
The chemistry between Callan and Atlas is amazing. They challenge each other, they crave each other and the slowly bring life and color back to each other. Atlas wasn’t afraid to go after Callan, he made that very clear from the start. Their story is a journey full of beauty and emotions and I loved seeing their relationship bloom despite all the challenges they faced.
If you’re looking for a small town, MM, age gap romance this is one to read!
I want to preface this by saying I really liked this book.
The dynamic between Callan and Atlas was unique and sexy as heck. I was pulled in from the beginning and the writing absolutely impeccable.
The only thing I really struggled with was the heavy content. Extreme homophobia and hate crimes can be really difficult for some readers, especially those who are drawn to this genre. I’m obviously not going to lower my rating for this, because it’s a personal thing and I truly loved this book. I’m just hoping in the future, if there is a repeat of this kind of content, that the author leaves a trigger warning at the beginning. It can mean the difference between an unexpected tough day and a mentally prepared one for some.
I have been ready for Callan's book since I met him in Dante's story.
Callan has been through a lot, he is now 18 and technically can move back to NYC but he is still rooted in place from what happened..and now a new addition to the town PD, Atlas, has him interested enough that he might stay.
My gosh, this story is everything.
I love how Callan and Atlas push each other buttons,I felt their attraction, I love the age gap and I love everything about them.
I know there are still jackals in this town but the main characters always overshadow everything else for me.
I adore all these characters!
Heart warming and panty melting
The best book in the Brigs Ferry Bay series so far. The filthy talk was off the charts hot. The pacing made the book hard to put down. No angst. The glimpses of characters from the earlier books made me happy. It wasn’t really typical as far as age gap romances. The focus was more on the positive tension between Atlas and Callan. Kind of like watching a game of tug of war between two smoking hot naked men.
Not Sure How to Feel
There were many aspects of this book that made me wonder if I SHOULD find that hot. So, i know that many people will be turned off by the age gap and borderline daddy kink, but I honestly loved it. I think this book was my favorite of all the BFB series. And Callan’s character just makes me smile! I wish we could all be so forward with our feelings, wearing them as colors loud and clear. It would make the world a better place.
The last couple of books have been rough in this world for me, but this one brought my love back for the people of Brigs Ferry Bay. I really loved Callan and Atlas's story.
Callan has had a rough year. He's been the victim of a horribly violent crime and he's still being targeted. His family and friends are worried about him but he continues to push them away. Enter Atlas. While there is a huge age gap (20 years), these two are drawn to each other.
Atlas has been where Callan is when he was younger. He fled the small town when he was 18 and joined the military, but he's back because of his sister. He is absolutely perfect for Callan.
This story has some situations that really pull on your heartstrings. But I really did love how they all started to pull together.
This was a 5-star read for me up until the end. The town bullies did NOT get what they should've. I also wanted to see how they almost pulled off the setup, but we got nothing. It was grazed over. While it's a good ending, it was rushed and I wanted more. I mean the whole book was leading up to these jokers getting what's coming to them and I felt robbed of that.
