Story
Following on from 2017's success of our London to Paris cycle, which saw a team of 7 raise over £8000, we have decided to go bigger and better this year and take on another sporting challenge with a team of 20!
Our team, which consists of Berkeley employees and members of our Supply Chain, are cycling from Prague to Budapest in June 2018 in aid of the Berkeley Foundation and to raise money for our partner charity Providence Row.
Providence Row works with more than a thousand homeless and vulnerably housed people a year in East London, offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice, recovery and learning and training programmes.
This trip entails cycling 360 miles over 4 countries: Czech , Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. The first 2 days the cyclists will encounter plenty of climbs and then it will flatten out for the final 2 days of the ride.
Providence Row is a great charity that does amazing work in the local area to help the homeless. We want to raise at least £20,000 by June next year so please help us where you can.
£25 could fund a week of breakfast and showers for a rough sleeper.
£500 could fund a whole term of their ten week employability programme Working On It.
£1500 could give someone the opportunity to take part in a ten week trainee scheme and learn skills in gardening or catering.
No matter the amount, we appreciate any donation you are able to make.
Wish us luck...(we'll need it!)
