Yet another restaurant has moved to ban children in the evening hours. The owner of La Fisheria in Houston, Texas, recently decided that only children older than 8 years old can dine there after 7 p.m.

According to KHOU, after a growing number of customers complained about rambunctious kids in the restaurant, the owner announced they would no longer allow parents to bring children under the age of 9 after 7 p.m. "We are a family friendly restaurant, and we also respect all of our customers so we introduce this new policy to the restaurant. Thanks for your understanding," the restaurant said on its Facebook page.

While several residents in the area think it is unfair to prevent families from dining together, an overwhelming number of patrons expressed support for the decision.

Becky Pickens told KHOU she'd even prefer that the restaurant ban children altogether — and many others share her view. The executive chef said the feedback has been mostly positive.

Earlier this year, two Brooklyn bars banned children of any age after 8 p.m., joining several other watering holes that had previously instituted similar restrictions. This past June, in Alexandria, Virginia, The Sushi Bar banned those who are 18 and under. Over in Pennsylvania, McDain's Restaurant in Monroeville banned kids under six completely back in 2011.

Do you think it's appropriate for restaurants to set no-kid policies in the evening or any other time of day?
