Tangerine Dream is one of the great strains organically-grown by Canna Farms. Originally created by the illustrious Amsterdam-based seed company Barney’s Farm. This strain was handcrafted to meet the demands of working medical patients. Genetically Tangerine Dream is the hybrid child of strains such as G13, Afghani, and Neville’s A5 Haze; and also shares its name with an influential German progressive electronic band.

Physical Description:
The Tangerine Dream is a large, perfectly structured, pleasingly lush looking bud! Absolutely covered in sticky trichomes, some crystals so large the buds appear wet like fresh grass covered with dew in the morning. Short tawny orange pistils then threaded themselves through the radiant neon green this gorgeous bud displays.
What does it smell like?
The fragrance of the Tangerine Dream is a truly sweet, sugary citrus aroma. These herbs give off a scent of subtle orange with some sweet earthiness swirled together in the scent receptors, with a lingering sweet spiciness. Overall the incredible bouquet of incense this strain gives off reminds me of a orange and cinnamon tea with LOTS of sugar added!
What does it taste like?
The Tangerine Dream similar to it’s aroma also has an incredible flavour; a truly connoisseur strain! This strain starts off with sweet sugary citrus flavor of orange/grapefruit with spiced sandalwood notes on the exhale, further enhancing the sugary citrus profile and sweeter tones and leaves the user salivating. Overall there is certainly more herbal funk to the taste than the smell which makes this strain incredible smooth to toke!
*Use and Effects:
The Tangerine Dream, for its effects, has become one of my new go-to strains; the high is so warm, lucid and uplifting it would be very difficult not to love this strain! The cerebral effects do not hit hard and fast like some other sativa varieties and instead begin to creep up on the user providing one of the best mellow relaxed head and body highs; essentially the cerebral energy can help energize the whole body. The sativa side of this strain allows the user to feel upbeat and positive while also relaxing the body in a calming manner without effectively couch-locking the consumer. I have consumed this strain through a number of methods – a water pipe, a joint and a home and portable vapourizer unit; all of which worked well for the effects. However to fully appreciate this strain taste profile it should be consumed through a vaporizer on a middle temperature setting.
