11 Cocktails Inspired by Tech Visionaries

If you’re like most of us this summer, you’re going to have fewer relaxing cocktails on the beach than you’d like. So it’s important to make them count.

That’s why I asked my team to combine business with pleasure and come up with ten classic cocktails inspired by some of the leading visionaries in tech. You can find a full list of them together with recipes in the SlideShare linked below. But to give you a taste of the highlights, here are a few of the best:

The Mark Cuban Libre. Building on the famous entrepreneur’s penchant for saying whatever he thinks, this cocktail is one of the coolest things you can do with a Coke this summer.

Marissa Mayer’s Mayerita. Everyone knows Marissa has really shaken things up at Yahoo, but a gentle stir also makes for a delicious Mayerita.

Google’s Glass Monkey. Clearly, the most anticipated new product of the year is the Google Glass, which is why we’re honoring it with our take on the classic—no, wait, the Brass Monkey was never a classic. It was a bottled, pre-mixed beverage, often described as an alcoholic version of Sunny D. Still, our version is tasty.

Dell-O Shots. To honor Michael Dell and dredge up happy memories of the Dell Dude, we offer up a cool, cherry-flavored edible cocktail that’s perfect for a party.
