A LIFE coach has revealed the seven simple things you can start doing right now to live a happier life.

Last week, we told how life coach Sam Sahota revealed the seven things you should do before breakfast every day.

Now Sam is back with more tips for a happier life, revealing the things you can start doing right away to help you live well and reach your goals.

Sam, who describes himself as Europe's Most Passionate Life Coach, told The Sun Online that the trick to happiness is to "always give before you receive".

With that in mind, here are his seven simple tips to start getting more from your life...

Have some me time

Switch off the TV and turn off your phone. Find a quiet place to rest and relax your mind and your body.

You will find that your best ideas and thoughts will come to you when you tear yourself away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

Stop procrastinating

If it can be done now then do it. Don't moan or complain.

Get stuck in and become a doer and you will begin to see how much of a positive effect this will have on you and your mindset.

Don't make excuses

Successful people and unsuccessful people are self made. The successful admit it whereas the unsuccessful don't.

So stop making excuses in your life and blaming everyone else. Take responsibility because what you have or don't have is a result of the actions you have taken.

Control your mind... or it will control you

We will have millions of thoughts a day and not all of them will be good ones.

Learn to listen to your mind and distinguish which thoughts patterns are jeopardising your progress and cut them out of your life.

Stop people pleasing

If you are always aiming to please others then that will leave you very little time to find happiness yourself.

Learn to make yourself happy before you attempt to bring happiness into other people’s lives and then share the love.

Get some direction in your life 

If you are with a partner you don't love or work in a job that gives you no satisfaction, then it's time to stop and decide what you want from your life and then make the necessary changes.

If you don't know where you want to be or what you want to do then you will end up nowhere.

Control your expectations

When things go well don't let them go to your head and when they aren’t going well, don't let them get you down.

Understand that life has its ups and downs and by realising this you will cope better with whatever life has in store for you.
