It’s true, hobbitses. Though J.R.R. Tolkien passed away nearly 50 years ago, a new book of his will be released in May 2017. It’ll be illustrated by Alan Lee, who’s responsible for most of the iconic images from the newer versions of LOTR and The Hobbit.

Called Beren and Lúthien, the tale originated in a Middle-earth history tome written by Tolkien, but it’s been reworked by Tolkien’s son Christopher to include both the original text as well as related references from other Tolkien stories to tell the full story for the very first time. The story is about human Beren and elf Lúthien facing off against an evil lord—it’s like if LOTR were just the bromance between Aragorn and Legolas without the boring hobbit parts in between.
