With a first date like this, there’s no telling what could have happened on the second.

Shaun Paul Williams was reportedly beaten, robbed, stripped and abandoned near a cow pasture Friday after a date with his would-be paramour went dangerously wrong.

The disoriented 34-year-old was spotted by police on a state road in Bunnell, Fla., after the alleged attack, covered in blood and walking in the buff. He was taken to a local hospital, where he shared the tale of his fleeting, star-crossed relationship.

Williams met a woman called Tree in a Daytona Beach convenience store about two weeks ago, FlaglerLive reports. The pair struck up a conversation and exchanged phone numbers. They decided to get serious by going on their first date on Friday. Tree agreed to pick Williams up from the convenience store where they first crossed paths.

The woman, whose real name has not been released, showed up in a dark blue sedan. Williams was wearing a gray tank top, black shorts and sneakers.

Unexpectedly, Tree had brought along a third and fourth wheel. Two men were in the car with her — one she called her brother, and the other was supposedly her brother’s friend. Tree said that she needed to drop the extra guests off before the pair went on their date.

Tree drove for several minutes before the brother told her to turn into a side street. He told Tree that he needed to “wait for a friend.” Williams decided to use the unplanned stop to take a quick bathroom break. When he got out of the car, he told police that he was hit in the face twice with a “hard metal object,” NBC reports. Williams crumpled to the ground in pain as one of his attackers allegedly said, “Give me all your money and all your clothes.”

According to the police report, Williams replied, “Are you serious?”

His attacker responded, “Do you see what I’ve got pointed at you?”

Williams’ eyes shot open to find a gun pointed straight at his face.

The men forced him to hand over his prepaid cell phone, his Florida driver’s license, $200 in cash and all of the clothes he picked out for his first date. The men then fled the scene, Tree in tow.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is now investigating the incident.

At the hospital, Williams was treated for cuts on his face.

And there’s a pretty decent chance he won’t call her back.
