Arrow Season 5 Trailer: Oliver Breaks in New Team, Shirtless Bratva Fights
It’s time to get the band back together — or, form a new one! — as Arrow opens Season 5.
As seen in the trailer for the CW series’ new run, Oliver (begrudgingly) takes Felicity’s advice to break in a new battalion of wannabe heroes, in the wake of Diggle and Thea quitting the team.
Team Arrow 3.0 (4.0?) includes that faux Canary, Evelyn Crawford; a toughie named Wild Dog; and even tech whiz Curtis (who needs some help with the salmon ladder!).
Earlier this month, Stephen Amell said, “The villain that we are introducing is a direct result of things that Oliver has done in Star City [and] calls back to a lot of things that happened in the first season of the show.” In doing so, “It really grounds the show and really focuses on its core value, which is the battle to save Star City.”
Among the new season’s (many) new faces, Josh Segarra (Chicago P.D.) has been added as a series regular, playing DA Adrian Chase aka the vigilante known as… Vigilante; Chad L. Coleman (The Wire) will recur as gangster Tobias Church; Rick Gonzalez (Reaper) will play the DC Comics vigilante Wild Dog, Tyler Ritter (The McCarthys) will recur as SCPD Detective Malone, Carly Pope (Popular) will play Coast City reporter Susan Williams and Madison McLaughlin will reprise her role as Evelyn Crawford — and her new superhero persona, Artemis.
I miss it when it was just the key 3 the flashbacks look to be the only thing from this that’s interesting
OK, I like the look of that trailer a lot.
The trailer for new season looks good. It will be interesting how new team members will do with Oliver and Felicity. Not good there’s a new dark archer. Guess he could be the main villian of new season. Excited to watch new season this fall!
There was a dark archer in Season 1 who turned out to be Malcolm Merlyn. Now we are repeating with another dark archer. We presumably will be following Oliver, Felicity and the new team, plus Diggle and Thea in separate adventures plus we still have the flashbacks. Might be too many stories to do them all justice. The Flash trailer excited me more.
The villain is Prometheus. Who in comics is pretty much an evil Batman like character. But I guess for the show they are going to make him Green Arrow like.
Who is new opposite Oliver
I bet it will start out really strong, lose focus somewhere around the eighth episode, stall for about ten episodes by having its characters act like idiots, then try to pull it all together before the finale with mixed results.
That’s just mean. and accurate. still a favorite show of mine, faults be damned.
That was a good trailer, though. Say what you want about the quality of last season, but that trailer was very good. Looking like they took a big turn back towards the beginning of the series. Plus..we get to finally see Oliver’s russia flashbacks.
I like the trailer it was good but not that great like season 1-2 coz something is missing on this season. you can say The main thing is missing you know The Soul Of This Show is missing which known as Dianah Laurel Lance AKA Black Canary the love of Oliver’s life. Without her Oliver is not Oliver anymore he’s like a dead man walking around and fighting against the bad people cause Laurel is a soul and Oliver is a body they’re both important without one of them they’re not perfect cause they’re made for each other. Together they can do anything, they can make impossible to possible. I know that Arrow is not only romantic show it has all it has action, drama, adventure, romance everything that’s why I’m not only talk about the romance and action I’m talking about Oliver who is the main character of this show cause he’s the Green Arrow and Black Canary is his soul so without her The Arrow is not perfect anymore it’s still soulless.
