Asian restaurant chain P.F. Chang’s plans to open a second location in the state in 2023 at the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford, mall officials announced Wednesday.
The chain currently has a restaurant at Westfarms Mall on the West Hartford and Farmington line.
Ken Sterba, general manager at the Connecticut Post Mall, said he anticipates the restaurant’s Asian dining experience will be a “hit” with mall guests.
“The addition of P.F. Chang’s also complements our larger vision for the property, as we continue to actively transform The Post into a vibrant destination the community will enjoy for years to come,” Sterba said, in an announcement.
The new P.F. Chang’s will occupy space which was formerly home to Bar Louie.
P.F. Chang’s offers Asian cuisine such as sushi and dishes like stir-fried eggplant, spicy chicken, Mongolian beef and Chang’s lettuce wraps.
The exact opening date has yet to be announced.
P.F. Chang’s was founded in 1993 by Philip Chiang and Paul Fleming, and the chain has grown to include more than 300 restaurants in 22 countries.
In recent months, the Connecticut Post Mall also has welcomed new tenants such as Je T’aime Cupcakes and Cocktails and the state headquarters for the Black Business Alliance.
