Rising Star: Sydney Foster

ALEXANDRIA/ABC7 — Scoring goals next gets old.

Sydney Foster is really good at lacrosse. The Bishop Ireton junior is one of the few African-American girls garnering attention from the sport's top college programs.

She is physically and mentally tough.

Her mother left the family when Sydney was just 11-years-old.

As ABC7 sports reporter Scott Abraham shows us, lacrosse has been there when she's needed it most.
