Thanksgiving - Altogether Everywhere

Thanksgiving - Altogether Everywhere

No matter where you live in the world, there exists within all civilized societies, some form of group ritual thanksgiving ceremony or season. Harvest seasons, sun and or moon worship...you name it! It still comes to the point that people have the desire and need to express appreciation.

In the USA, we are just coming out of the season of the Thanksgiving holiday, and entering the winter season celebrations. Hanukkah, Kwanza, Christmas (We recently concluded Diwali). Families, in all forms and sizes, gathered around tables and recreated their versions of Norman Rockwell sentiment.

Here's a thought: What would it take for us all to live in the sentiment of family gathering with each other, no matter what our geographies or cultures? Just agree to a World Peace season, where each of us comes home to the comfort of knowing that - for this one moment in time - we are collected around the idea of thankfulness.

A wonderful reminder to live the holiday all year long!
