The Virginmarys' King of Conflict stands as one of the best rock albums of 2013.

When King of Conflict came out in February, USA TODAY called the British power trio's music a "brand of visceral, raw-throated rock that runs from The Who through Motorhead and Nirvana."

The group turns down the volume but not the intensity on You've Got Your Money, I've Got My Soul (Stripped), premiering at USA TODAY. It's part of an acoustic reworking of the album, called King of Conflict (Stripped).

"I write mostly on acoustic so it's cool to get the natural roots of the songs exposed and for people to hear and feel a different side of our lyrics," singer/guitarist Ally Dickaty says in a release.

Listen to the song's original version here. King of Conflict is currently available on iTunes, and the Stripped version will be out July 9.

The Virginmarys will tour the U.S. in July, playing the following dates:

July 16: Pop's, Sauget, Ill.

July 17: Deluxe @ Old National Centre, Indianapolis, Ind.

July 18: Neighborhood Theater, Charlotte, N.C.
