Domestic dispute lands White County sheriff's deputy, spouse in custody

A deputy with the White County sheriff's office was arrested Monday, along with his spouse, after authorities were dispatched to their residence concerning a domestic disturbance.

According to a release from the White County sheriff's office, deputy Gary Cade and his spouse, Mona Meeds, were taken into custody at 9 a.m. Monday morning at their home in Searcy on charges of domestic violence, stemming from an incident earlier in the morning.

Cade has been placed on administrative leave, with pay, pending an investigation into the events.
