Tutors will be expected to deliver a variety of tuition styles, depending on their discipline, which could include individual or small group tuition, large group or Whole Class Instrumental Tuition (WCIT), and ensemble leading. They will be responsible for designing and delivering their own schemes of work. The role offers flexibility in teaching methodology and lesson planning and there are support, advice and development opportunities available.

Tutors will be expected to keep up to date on safeguarding procedures within an educational setting as well as developments in educational pedagogy and inclusive practices including I.D.E.A and LGBT+ awareness.

Relevant musical and teaching experience is essential. Some evening work may be offered and the ability to travel between schools and other venues is essential.
