Dear CCI Family and Friends,
It's been a couple of months since I've sent out a Weekend Update - sorry about that! There's so much going on that I've just not slowed down to write these weekly updates. But a few of you have mentioned that you miss them, so I'm going to try to do better. So here we go again!
- Saturday, 8:30AM, MEN'S BREAKFAST - It's the 2nd Saturday of the month, and time for our monthly men's breakfast! Warren Spurgeon will have a table spread for us and we'll enjoy the food, fellowship, and spiritual uplift that we always receive. Join us, guys!
- Sunday, 10:00AM, SUNDAY WORSHIP - Sunday Bro. Buddy will be ministering on "The Breaking of the Dawn" and he's going to deal with some of the deeper issues of the heart that are often rarely dealt with, things are have never truly been faced. This is going to be a tremendous teaching and I'm looking forward to leading worship before hand. Come join us!
- Monday, 9:00AM, HOSPITAL COOKIE OUTREACH - The third Monday of the month we take fresh, homemade cookies to the waiting rooms of Rapides Regional Medical Center and offer the love of Jesus in a sweet way! You can help by baking cookies and dropping them off at the church by Monday morning at 9:00AM at the latest! Thanks!
 Wednesday, 6:30PM WEDNESDAY NIGHT WORSHIP - We're wrapping up our "Emotionally Healthy Spirituality" Bible study this week by covering chapter 8, the final chapter in the book. The following week we'll be starting the sequel, entitled "Emotionally Healthy Relationships!" I think this has great potential to revolutionize our communication and interpersonal relationships! If you sign up by Sunday you can get the book kit for $15 through the church. After Sunday you can still order them from Amazon or other places for around $20, so take advantage of this opportunity!
That's what's coming up this weekend and into next week. The following Saturday is our monthly Holly Oak Cemetery Cleanup, but I'll remind you of that next week. I'm excited to say that our new sewer treatment plant was installed this week and should give us trouble-free flushes for many years to come! :) Now here's a little look at a few other things down to put on your calendar:
