Virginia Tech squeaked out a 52-49 win at Georgia Tech last Wednesday night to move to 14-1 overall and 3-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Hokies shot just 17-of-57 from the floor including 5-of-27 on 3-point attempts plus 13-of-19 at the free throw line. Virginia Tech led 29-24 at halftime and held on from there. Ahmed Hill paced the Hokies with 15 points on 6-of-14 shooting including 2-of-8 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also pulled down two rebounds. Kerry Blackshear Jr. had a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Justin Robinson added 10 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Cavs dominate at Clemson

De’Andre Hunter tallied 12 points along with seven rebounds. Jay Huff added 11 points and seven boards off the bench. Virginia outscored the Tigers 36-22 in the second half to pull away. College Basketball Betting Trends
Virginia Tech
The Hokies are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight Tuesday games. Virginia Tech is 8-3 ATS in its last 11 road games.
Virginia
The Cavaliers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games. Virginia is 7-2 ATS in its last nine Tuesday games.
Prediction:
Virginia almost certainly won’t be ranked No. 1 next week unless it goes undefeated while also getting help elsewhere in addition to Duke already losing Monday, but the Cavaliers have a good argument for the top spot. They are efficient and elite on both ends of the court and have won their last six games by at least 13 points. While weird things happen in rivalry games, this is a chance for Virginia to make a statement against not only a quality opponent but one it has a little more dislike for. I like the Cavs at home tonight.
