MEMBER HIGHLIGHT:
  The Charlotte Pancreatic Cancer Alliance

Latest research shows that 97% of Americans now have a smartphone.  This represents nearly 300 million devices and a level of connectivity never seen before. Yet despite this unprecedented level of connectivity and access to information, the vast majority of Americans know very little about pancreatic cancer, the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S.

Founded in 2020, the Charlotte Pancreatic Cancer Alliance was created to increase awareness of the disease with a hyper local focus on the fast-growing Charlotte, North Carolina region located in the Southeast USA.

NEW! WPCC Website

We’ve been hard at work on the new WPCC website! We believe this site is more user-friendly and engaging. We’re excited for you to check it out.

Check out the WPCD section where ALL of the downloadable assets live.

WPCC Leadership Opportunities

The WPCC is looking for members to serve in leadership roles on its Steering Committee, World Pancreatic Cancer Day Committee, and Annual Meeting Planning Committee. Having strong global representation across our leadership is very important. It ensures we’re integrating different cultures and perspectives into the Coalition’s work. These Committees are critical to the ongoing success of the WPCC’s initiatives and continued growth.

Please let WPCC Project Lead Jenny Isaacson know if you are interested in serving – Jisaacson@pancan.org

Astrazeneca Campaign: New Normal, Same Cancer 2.0

Cancer care worldwide has been disrupted by COVID-19. There is a global need to raise awareness about the need to 'go back’ – to urge people who have symptoms, have paused treatment or cancelled routine screening.

In 2020, AstraZeneca co-created the New Normal, Same Cancer campaign to support diagnosed patients to re-engage with medical settings, encourage screening and diagnosis, and advance policy for the benefit of patient care. The next phase of the campaign builds on these objectives, with a key message of:

Don’t wait. Contact your doctor. Get checked.

Help amplify this message by downloading the Astrazeneca assets HERE.
