Bill Nye Saves the World, the Anti-Anti-Science Show, Hits Netflix in April

Watch the first trailer here.

When it was announced back in August, the title Bill Nye Saves the World felt fun, even a little goofy. A few months later, with scientists are trying to save climate change data in case the Trump administration tries to delete or alter it, it seems pretty damn apropos. Relevance isn't the only thing the show has gained, though; it also has a trailer and a release date.

Bill Nye Saves the World will debut on Netflix on April 21 (the day before Earth Day) with 13 episodes that seek to debunk anti-scientific claims and myths in topics ranging from sex to alternative medicine to, yes, climate change. It’ll also feature special correspondents like model/entrepreneur Karlie Kloss, “Space Gal” Emily Calandrelli, and comedian Nazeem Hussain, as well as experiments, Tim Gunn appearances, and—based on the trailer, at least—a lot of fist-bumps. (We may all speak different languages, but when you've proven that the Earth is getting warmer, you don't need words to properly celebrate the triumph of reason.)
