Superior Suite - Château Rhianfa

Deluxe garden room - Ynyshir

This one is not technically a hotel anymore - they dropped the "hall" part of their name to focus on food. It's now a restaurant with rooms but the rooms, including the Deluxe garden room, are stunning if you get a chance to stay.

You can stay the night, but you'll have to eat at the restaurant too. But that's hardly a chore - it's one of Wales' best. Make sure you are ravenous when you dine as the tasting menu is roughly 30 courses in length and four hours in duration. It’s a truly memorable dining experience and is highly critically acclaimed.

Ap Gruffydd bedroom - Roch Castle

For starters, this hotel is actually a castle.

It's picked up awards, including the Best 5 Star Hotel in Wales for 2017 by Trivago, along with Hotel of the Year 2016 and 2017 at the Welsh Hospitality Awards.

"Rebecca" - The Grove

The Grove, Narberth

Previously owned by the port authority, this luxurious boutique hotel is located in the centre of Swansea, just minutes from the beautiful maritime quarter and is a Grade-II listed building. It has hosted a few big celebs over the years, including Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas.

This boutique hotel offers "the stateliest of sleepovers".
