Data center providers are now offering expanded connectivity options and enhanced cloud solutions in order to keep up with their customers’ growing demand for flexible and agile network services.

TELEHOUSE, for instance, recently deployed PacketFabric’s network-as-a-service platform in two of its data center facilities in New York City, a move that will allow both companies to extend their data center and carrier ecosystems. Moving forward, customers in any of Telehouse’s U.S. Tier 3 data centers will be able to access PacketFabric’s network platform, which includes Internet Service Provider (ISP), Internet Exchange Point (IXP) and Cloud Service Provider (CSP) services.

Using the PacketFabric network, Telehouse can now significantly expand its Internet Exchange Services and its multi-cloud connectivity exchange, Telehouse Cloud Interconnect, thus enhancing its carrier-neutral data center services. And by partnering with Telehouse, PacketFabric is able expand its current U.S. footprint and Over-the-Top (OTT) service offerings.

Telehouse now owns and operates 48 global data centers. The company has two facilities in New York City, including one at 7 Teleport Drive in Staten Island and one at 85 Tenth Avenue in the Chelsea district of Manhattan. Telehouse also has a data center in California, located in downtown Los Angeles at 626 Wilshire Blvd.

The PacketFabric deployment will be available in Telehouse’s 7 Teleport Drive facility in Staten Island as of August 1, 2017. Additional locations are expected to follow by the end of the year.

“Telehouse has been expanding our connectivity and cloud solutions both domestically and globally as we continuously seek to offer greater flexibility and choice to our data center customers,” remarked Akio Sugeno, Vice President, Internet Engineering, Operations and Business Development, Telehouse America. “We expect more deployments with the addition of new global locations coming on the PacketFabric network this year.”

PacketFabric CEO, William Charnock, also commented on the partnership.

“We are very excited to increase the number of locations where Telehouse can offer services to their customers, while allowing our customers to access Telehouse customers and services,” explained Mr. Charnock. “This partnership is a natural fit, expanding the ecosystem for both companies across our carrier grade SDN-based network.”
