I loved this amphitheater! I hope to make many more trips to see concerts there. Not a bad seat in the house!

As long as I have been here and as many times as I have visited the park, I have never been to the ampitheater. I really like the set up. The free movies are on Wednesdays and you are allowed to bring a blanket (a plus for me). I really enjoyed it and will return. Volunteers were friendly as well.

The space itself is wonderful - with a beautiful setting and great sound despite being outdoors. Parking was easy, and I'll happily go back.
There are things that can be improved though. There are definitely too few bathrooms for a sold-out crowd. Some sort of fans (which other amphitheaters I've been to have) would have been much appreciated on a hot night on which the body heat and smoke were stifling without a bit of breeze. Better drinking fountains would be nice (they're low pressure and warm - which I guess motivates more people to buy water there). And drink holders at the seats would have been convenient.
Also, I'm not sure if they can do anything about this, but cell service is poor. Not an issue... except when you must show your ticket on your phone and a screenshot won't work. We stood in the parking lot for 10 minutes waiting for our tickets to load on Ticketmaster's website.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 3, 2021
There's a really nice amphitheater that is in your quick park. I have been to a few concerts here in my lifetime and it's always a good experience in a fun atmosphere for sure. I rode over again today took a walk around the area to look at it still in good shape and I look forward to win they open up shows to attend again

Attended the Louisville Jazz fest. Saw Paul Taylor, Eric Darius, Peter White, Norman Brown. Fabulous venue, nice, helpful staff! Naturally, food/drinks were pricey (not sure if operated separately to be fair)! Not sure I ever sat that long anywhere so the seats must have been comfortable. Although, I was up dancing some! Took my son, he has Downs/autism and we had no br/facility issues. The park itself is beautiful. It is small on parking but to be fair, there were A lot of people there!

Went to take my dog for a walk at the park. Iroquois park has always been my favorite park. So pretty and peaceful. I love how they put benches along the walking path and put poles to block cars from swinging into walking path on curves.

This venue has greatly improved itself through the years and has provided the community with years of performances. When booking tickets for an event, pay attention to the seating chart and weather. Some areas are covered (holds heat, protects from rain) and others are not (feel the breeze, feel the rain). The seating, stage and sound is great.
Toward the back of the venue are food booths and well kept restrooms. Parking is ample and typically free since it's created for the park visitors. I'm always impressed with how clean the facilities are kept.
Besides concerts, the venue hosts movies, Shakespeare in the Park and holiday events.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Jun 30, 2017Updated review
Let me first say; this is one of Louisville's best outdoor entertainment venue. Kudos to the city for wisely investing in our communities love for arts, plays, movies and concerts to name a few. In a open air facility which seats 2300 comfortably, 70% is covered and like no other in Kentucky. This city asset is for our citizens and guest to enjoy.
One thing perplexing me is not enough people participate or may not know what this gem offers. I believe if more was aware attendance would be through the roof,
(Smiles)
Fantastic acoustics!, "very" clean restrooms, clean seating for a open air, friendly staff and volunteers.
Concessions; a surprise was Ehrlers hand dip ice cream Yum! FYI ice cream location could be more accessible if located near lower level, limited to the standard finger food Special beverage venders appropriate for adult events was welcoming.
Pricing a good value $. Some concerts are free, while other national acts can be pricey.
A wonderful asset in Louisville offering fun for all ages.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jun 24, 2017Previous review.

My best friend and I had the awesome opportunity to see the Flaming Lips last night at Iroquois Amphitheater.
And at one point, my friend turns to me and says, "This really is a great venue."
I couldn't agree more.
Iroquois Amphitheater continues to get great musical acts, and it's a pleasure to see them perform at this venue.
Reasons why I love it:
* It's never been hard to pick up tickets or get into the venue.
* And once inside, there pretty much isn't a bad seat in the house. For most of the shows I've been to, the seats have been GA. But even full, it hasn't been hard to find a great place to sit. Shows still feel intimate even when packed.
* And if you want to get closer to the stage, you can always walk on the grass on either side of the seats and watch from there.
* Seats! Most GA venues are standing room only -- not this one.
* There are great food and drink options for snacks.
* The venue looks very well maintained and clean.
* The bathrooms are easy to get to.
* The acoustics seem great.
* There is a separate smoking area, away from the main stands but still where those in the area can see the show. I abhor smoking, and this keeps a lot of the smoke out of the stands.
* Iroquois Amphitheater also hosts a variety of community events, including bands but also the Louisville Orchestra, Cirque Louis, outdoor movies and more.
Parking can be a bit of a hassle in that usually I've had to park along the road that wraps around the front of Iroquois Park. But even still, at most I've had a 10-minute walk to my car.
If you get a chance, be sure to check out a show at Iroquois Amphitheater.Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0
