SAN JOSE — Westgate West Shopping Center at 5399 Prospect Road got a new Super Duper Burgers.

BERNAL HEIGHTS Mix Traditions is open at 800 Cortland Avenue, serving cafe staples like caffeinated beverages and pastries alongside a full, all-day menu.

SAN JOSE — 42-year-old stromboli destination Tony Di Maggio’s Pizza has expanded with a second location in downtown San Jose at 155 W. San Fernando Street.

SAN LEANDRO — French patisserie Atelier Colibri is open at 138 Pelton Center Way with traditional pastries and more unusual treats like cruffins.

SANTA CRUZ — Alderwood Santa Cruz is open at 155 Walnut Avenue with steak, oysters, and more French-influenced fare.

NORTH BEACH — HolyCraft Brewery Taproom has opened its first taproom and production brewery at 787 Broadway, the former Sip Bar & Lounge space.

RUSSIAN HILL — Abrazo is open at 2000 Hyde Street, the former Zarzuela space, with Mediterranean and Spanish flavors.

DOGPATCH — All the servers are sommeliers at Ungrafted, a new wine bar and restaurant open at 2419 3rd Street.

MISSION — The Bar Agricole team’s long-awaited rum-focused bar, Obispo, is now open at 3266 24th Street.

TENDERLOIN — The Future Bars team has followed Pagan Idol with another tiki noir bar: Zombie Village at 441 Jones Street.

FISHERMAN’S WHARF — Modesto’s Mango Crazy has expanded to San Francisco, at 51 Jefferson Street, with its best-selling mangonadas in tow.

SEBASTOPOL — Michelin-approved cocktails star at new bar and restaurant Fern Bar, at 6780 Depot Street, Suite 120.

CHINATOWN — Rolled ice cream spot Magical Ice Cream is open at 900 Grant Avenue.

SOMA — The fifth location of Mission-born Pizzeria Delfina is now open at 688 Mission Street.

LOS ALTOS — Palo Alto-born mini chain Coupa Cafe has opened a new location at the Colonnade apartment complex, 4748 El Camino Real.

WEST PORTAL — Franco’s Latin Table is now open in the former Fresca space at 24 West Portal Avenue, specializing in modern Peruvian cuisine with Mexican and Central American influences.

TENDERLOIN — After a three-year absence, beer bar Amsterdam Cafe is back at a new location, 930 Geary Street.

OUTER MISSION — New bubble tea shop TS Cafe is open at 4754 Mission Street.

BERKELEYPassione Caffe is open serving pastries, panini, focaccia, salads, pasta, pizza, and coffee in the former PiqIQ space at 91 Shattuck Avenue.

EXCELSIOR — The neighborhood has a new Vietnamese restaurant, at 4845 Mission Street in the former Mission Noodle House space, called Ty Pho.

RUSSIAN HILL — Dinner comes with a show at Berber, a massive new North African restaurant at 1516 Broadway.

EMERYVILLE — Marshawn Lynch’s Rob Ben’s Restaurant and Lounge is open at 3627 San Pablo Avenue with soul food and a Beastmode Platter.

RICHMOND — Asian-American bakery pop-up Breadbelly has opened its first brick-and-mortar at 1408 Clement Street.

SANTA CLARA — Westfield Valley Mall is now home to the second stateside Ramen Nagi, a popular Japanese ramen chain.

PALO ALTO — Get all the babka you can handle at the newly opened bakery Babka by Ayelet, at 855 El Camino Real.

PALO ALTO — The Bay Area’s first Shake Shack is open — OMG! — at the Stanford Shopping Center (180 El Camino Real, Suite #950). Prepare to wait in line for hours.

OAKLANDJavi’s Cooking opened at 3446 Market Street, the former Locol space in West Oakland, with lots of empanadas.

OAKLAND — The former Shalimar Garden space at 3814 Piedmont Avenue has quickly been transformed into Thai Taste Kitchen.

REDWOOD CITY — Wine bar Bottle Shop is now open at 2627 Broadway in downtown Redwood City.

INNER RICHMOND — A new Hong Kong-style cafe, Sweet Mango Dessert Cafe, is open at 5217 Geary Boulevard with mango-flavored treats.

INNER SUNSET Zhuo Kitchen has landed in the former Meshi Sushi space at 1380 9th Avenue with a creative Chinese menu.

TENDERLOIN — The former Chairman Bao spot at 670 Larkin Street is now Paper Rooster, serving Chinese-influenced sandwiches.

ALAMEDA — A celebrity bartender is behind Town Tavern, a new cocktail and small bites destination on the downtown strip at 1437 Park Street.

FIDI — SF’s third Bluestone Lane, the Aussie-style cafe, is now open at 225 Bush Street

FISHERMAN’S WHARF — A new Indian restaurant, Amirah, has taken over the Passion Peruana space at 993 N. Point Street.

ALAMEDA — The team behind Scolari’s Good Eats has opened a new downtown Alameda restaurant with a distinctly East Coast flavor: Marley G’s Pizzeria (1330 Park Street), with stromboli, pizza, and chicken parm subs.

TENDERLOIN — The owners of South San Francisco’s Siam Spoon have opened a new restaurant, Ping Yang Thai Grill & Dessert, in the former Little Henry’s space at 955 Larkin Street.

CASTROGai is open in the former Sofia Cafe space, 3463 16th Street, with Thai, Vietnamese, or Chinese versions of chicken and rice.

FISHERMAN’S WHARF — The owners of Carmel Pizza Company have opened a wine bar, Altalena Vinoteca, at 448 Beach Street.

MOUNTAIN VIEW Caspian Restaurant is now open at 1910 El Camino Real, Suite D, replacing Kabobs & Pupuseria with Iranian flavors.

BERKELEY — Another Bay Area location of Matiki Island BBQ & Brew has opened at 1828 Euclid Avenue, following the Southern California restaurant’s expansion into San Jose.

JAPANTOWN — The Hinata team has opened Sasa, serving a mix of sushi and modern Japanese eats, in Japan Center.

SOMAEl Pípila, from chef Guadalupe Guerrero, has opened at 879 Brannan Street, serving the cuisine of Guanajuato, Mexico.

CASTRO — Sausalito’s Sushi Ran team has opened Izakaya Sushi Ran in the former Nomica space at 2223 Market Street.

LOWER PACIFIC HEIGHTS — The 1881 Restaurant at the Mansion on Sutter is open at 1409 Sutter Street, serving Californian-French cuisine in a regal dining room.

SOMABanh Mi King is now open at 180 Howard Street, providing another affordable lunch option to workers in the neighborhood.

FIDI — Health-oriented organic food and juice chain Urban Remedy opened another post at 181 Fremont.

OAKLAND — The team behind dive bar Heart and Dagger Saloon has opened another low-key bar called The Amplifier at 1741 San Pablo Avenue.

FIDI — Michael Mina’s massive Hawaiian restaurant Trailblazer Tavern is open in Salesforce East.

SACRAMENTO — Oliver Ridgeway’s Camden Spit & Larder is open at 555 Capitol Mall, Suite 100, channeling the farm-focused cuisine the city does best as well as the chef’s British roots.

SAN MATEO — Ramen stall Kuro-Obi, a new casual spin-off of Japan’s famed Ippudo chain, opened its second US location in Hillsdale Shopping Center.

SAN MATEO Uncle Tetsu Japanese Cheesecake has opened its first Northern California post in Hillsdale Shopping Center, and it’s something of a global phenomenon.

SACRAMENTO — The Bank, Sacramento’s first food hall set inside a historic, 102-year-old bank building, is open, with three bars and several spaces for restaurants.

PALO ALTO — Bay Area sandwich chain Ike’s Place is now open at 401 Lytton Avenue, after more than three years of anticipation.

OAKLAND — After struggling with a landlord in Mountain View, Bierhaus has officially packed up and settled into 360 40th Street in Temescal with German beer and food.

NOB HILL — Yemeni-influenced, Middle Eastern fusion restaurant Saha has returned to its previous home in Hotel Carlton.

CAMPBELL — The third Manresa Bread is open at 195 E. Campbell Avenue. Unlike the other locations, this one is an all-day cafe with a full food menu and bar.

BERKELEY — Cal-Italian restaurant Creekwood is officially open at 3121 Sacramento Street. The restaurant was five years in the making.

SONOMASweet Pea Bake Shop is open at 720 West Napa Street in downtown Sonoma with classic French pastries, sourdough English muffins, and more.

PALO ALTO — Portland’s Salt & Straw has opened its fourth scoop shop at 250 University Avenue.

OAKLAND — Polk Street Vietnamese restaurant Co Nam opened a second location at 3936 Telegraph Avenue in Temescal, specializing in south Vietnamese street food.

OAKLAND — From the same family behind Marica in Rockridge, Pizza Marica has opened in the same space (5301 College Avenue) with a different focus: thin-crust pizzas.

OAKLANDKultmix is open at 304 10th Street in Chinatown. The Asian fusion menu includes pho burritos, chicken tamales, and corn with Cheetos offered alongside spring rolls, skewers, rice plates, and pho.

SAN JOSEJackie’s Place is now open at 655 N 6th Street with barbecue, fried chicken, and oxtails.

MISSION — Contemporary dim sum has come to the Mission with the opening of Pushcart Fare, in the former Futo Sushi Burrito space at 3224 22nd Street.

BERNAL HEIGHTS — Prepare to wait in line at RakiRaki Ramen & Tsukemen at 3282 Mission Street. It’s the fourth location for the San Diego-based restaurant.

OAKLANDBurlap Coffee is now open just steps away from the MacArthur BART station in Temescal in the former Cafe Maricela space at 511 40th Street.

CIVIC CENTERBeyond Burma is open at 154 McAllister Street. Beyond Burma’s menu is a little more creative than most of the Bay Area’s Burmese spots, with dishes like “Burmese ramen” with a coconut chicken curry soup.

SAN RAMON — Berkeley’s supremely popular Fieldwork Brewing opened a new location at City Center Bishop Ranch.

SONOMA — Sonoma got a new modern, all-day diner with Mint and Liberty, which comes from the same owners as Sonoma’s Sunflower Caffe. The location at 19101 Sonoma Highway used to house Breakaway Cafe.

EMERYVILLE — A former French Laundry chef is serving barbecue by the pound at Pig in a Pickle in Emeryville Public Market. It’s the second location for the Marin County restaurant.

FIDI — Interactive omakase with gold-tipped chopsticks has arrived thanks to The Shota, now open at 115 Sansome Street.

OAKLAND — Former pop-up FOB Kitchen is open at 5179 Telegraph Avenue, bringing traditional Filipino food to Temescal in the former Juhu Beach Club space.

CONCORD — SoCal-founded Mexican restaurant Puesto expands its taco empire with a second Bay Area location at 2035 Diamond Boulevard.

NOVEMBER 7

FIDI — Concord’s Out the Dough has expanded into SF with a location at 28 Trinity Place, slinging scoops of raw cookie dough.

OUTER SUNSET Golden Crab House is open serving Vietnamese whole crab at 1830 Irving Street in the former Nami Ramen Bar space in the Outer Sunset.

WALNUT CREEKGinger’s Gelato is open at 2238 Oak Grove Road, with organic gelato, espresso, and cookies.

SANTA ROSABollywood Bar & Clay Oven is open at 535 4th Street, with modern Idnain fare from a James Beard Award finalist.

OAKLAND — Another Blue Bottle Coffee has landed at 4001 Piedmont Avenue.

CASTRO — Unsurprisingly, pho is the speciality at Pho 335, now open at 335 Noe Street, in the former Mr. Fu Kitchen space.

SAN LEANDROAs Kneaded Bakery, which is devoted entirely to bread, is open at 585 Victoria Court.

MISSION — Food, drinks, and activism collide at Manny’s, now open at 3092 16th Street with food from Farming Hope and Frena Bakery.

BERKELEYGordito Amigos is now open in Berkeley’s former Gordo Taqueria space at 2404 Telegraph Avenue, serving tacos and burritos with “California flair.”

BERKELEYChina Center is now open at 2142 Center Street near the UC Berkeley campus, with lunch plates from a steam table starting at $5.99 as well as a Cantonese menu.

OAKLAND — East Oakland has a new spot for hot dogs and sausages: Dogtown Sausage at 5916 International Boulevard.

MISSION — The old Ken Ken Ramen spot at 3378 18th Street is now Ramenwell, with three different broths at chasu pork smoked by 4505 Meats.

KENTFIELD — Marin’s newest dining destination is here: Guesthouse is open at 850 College Avenue, with a former Picco chef.

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Everything is a trio at Flights Mountain View, now open at 800 California Street, Suite 100, following locations in Burlingame, Los Gatos, and Campbell.

BERKELEY — Charlie Hallowell, the chef widely accused of sexual harassment, opened pizza and pasta restaurant Western Pacific at 2286 Shattuck Avenue.

LOWER NOB HILL — Le Marais opened its third and biggest, 3,000-square-foot bakery at 1138 Sutter Street.

ALAMEDA — The Monkey King owners opened Alameda Scoop, a gelato shop with Asian flavors and tasting flights, at 1708 Park Street.

OCTOBER 25

OAKLAND — Montreal-style bagel purveyor Beauty’s Bagels has opened a second location in Uptown at 1700 Franklin Street.

CASTRO — German-inspired cafe Mauerpark is now open at 500 Church Street, serving daily specials like currywurst alongside coffee, German beer, and wine.

EMERYVILLE — The latest business to open in Public Market Emeryville is Public Bar by Blush, with 99 bottles of beer and semi-frozen slush cocktails.

CIVIC CENTER — Bi-Rite Cafe opened at 52 Grove Street, bringing its soft serve, coffee, and sandwiches to a new neighborhood.

SOMA — Futuristic gaming lounge Platform 248 is open at 248 9th Street, with board games, VR games, boba tea, and Asian snacks to fuel gamers all day long.

FIDI — Amazon Go, a store mostly dedicated to grab-and-go food, is open at 300 California Street. There’s sushi, meal kits, and sandwiches, but no cashiers.

SACRAMENTO — Drake’s Brewing Co. has opened Drake’s Barn, a two-acre site and architectural landmark with a beer garden and full-service New Haven-style pizza restaurant called PizzaSmith.

ALAMEDA — Thai standards and some Lao dishes are now available at Thai House Barn at 1319 Park Street.

WEST PORTAL — Hawaii’s Captain Kona Cafe is open at 393 W. Portal Avenue, serving American and Italian breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

NORTH BEACHCaptain Kona Cafe also opened at 500 Columbus Avenue in the former Caffe Delucchi space.

MORAGA — The East Bay got another location of Rockridge’s hit Noodle Theory. This time, it’s in Moraga’s Rheem Center at 376 Park Street.

BERKELEY — European-style bakery Lavender Bakery & Cafe is open at 1820 Solano Avenue.

BAYVIEW — Coffee, food, and books are now available at Word. A Cafe, 5113 3rd Street.

LAKESIDE — Find Mexican-American brunch at Lucho’s, now open at 2675 Ocean Avenue.

MISSION — Burlingame’s Shabu House brought another location to 1050 Valencia Street, specializing in the Japanese style of hot pot.

LOWER HAIGHT Kibatsu is open and bringing sushi to the former Lodge on Haight space, at 400 Haight Street.

OAKLAND — Guru Curry House has replaced High Peaks Kitchen at 391 Grand Avenue near Lake Merritt. It serves a similar menu of Indian staples.

SONOMARussian River Brewing Co. has opened its huge new Windsor brewery, tasting room, restaurant, and beer garden.

SFO — Bay Area chain Super Duper Burgers added a location in terminal 3, serving burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast to hungry travelers.

MISSION — The Trick Dog team has opened a tropical disco party of a bar with Bon Voyage at 584 Valencia Street, where you can order cocktails and dumplings under an elephant sculpture.

NORTH BEACH — Vermicelli bowls, pho, and garlic noodles are on offer at Kim Sanh, a Vietnamese spot at 620 Broadway.

MISSIONSake Bomb is now open at 2878 24th Street, offering a variety of nigiri, sashimi, rolls, grilled skewers, and other Japanese plates in the former Ming’s Fong Lam space.

EMERYVILLEPizza Amigos has opened in the former Navi Kitchen space at 5000 Adeline Street. It also has a location in Antioch.

FILLMORE — The owner of Farmerbrown and Little Skillet has opened Isla Vida, a counter-service Afro-Caribbean grill, at 1325 Fillmore Street.

JAPANTOWN — Conveyor belt sushi is here thanks to Izumi Kaiten at 1737 Post Street.

SAN BRUNO — Hawaii’s James Beard Award-winning chef Sam Choy opened Poke to the Max at 629 San Mateo Avenue. Unlike most Bay Area poke shops, this is not a build-your-own sort of place, and other Hawaiian plates are also available.

MISSION — Anthony Strong’s modern Italian restaurant Prairie has opened at 3431 19th Street.

GHIRARDELLI SQUARE Pico Latin Street Food is open at 900 North Point Street

GHIRARDELLI SQUARE The Cheese School of San Francisco has moved to new, much more spacious digs at 900 North Point Street. In addition to classroom space, the new setup includes a cafe and retail cheese shop.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT — After much anticipation, East Coast chain Luke’s Lobster SF is open at 92 2nd Street, bringing buttery lobster and crab rolls to the West Coast.

TENDERLOIN — Kitschy bar Young’s Kung Fu Action Theatre & Laundry, from Sam Young, owner of Boogie Nights-inspired Polk Street dive bar Kozy Kar, is open at 841 Larkin Street.

SOMA — The second SOMA Eats, another hybrid cafe and bar, is serving Middle Eastern eats all day at 121 Spear Street.

OAKLAND — Mid-century dinner party-themed Bardo Lounge & Supper Club is now open at 3343 Lakeshore Avenue, serving themed bites and cocktails downstairs and tasting menus upstairs.

OAKLAND — Taiwanese bubble tea shop OneZo has opened its first U.S. location in Oakland’s Chinatown at 362 8th Street, Unit A. It’s known for making its own boba in-house daily.

OCTOBER 9

FINANCIAL DISTRICT — East Coast, women-focused co-working space The Wing opened at 115 Sansome Street with a cafe and restaurant in tow for members.

SEBASTOPOL — Farmers market stand The Farmer’s Wife opened a brick-and-mortar, serving delightful sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfast at 6760 McKinley Street, Suite 120.

BERKELEY — Temescal’s popular Korean restaurant Pyeong Chang Tofu House has expanded to 1269 University Avenue.

MENLO PARK — Located inside the Park James Hotel, Californian restaurant Oak + Violet is open at 1400 El Camino Real.

STONESTOWNShihlin Taiwanese Street Snacks has arrived at San Francisco’s Stonestown Galleria bearing its signature giant chicken cutlets. Find them at 3251 20th Avenue.

OAKLAND — After operating successfully in Kensington for six years, Benchmark Oakland has arrived in Old Oakland with neo-Neapolitan pizza. It’s located at 499 9th Street.

PLEASANT HILL — Israel-based mini burger chain Burgerim is now open in the Crossroads Shopping Center at 2314 Monument Boulevard.

SFO — Tenderloin soul food spot Farmerbrown has expanded with a second location in San Francisco International Airport’s Terminal 1.

BERKELEY — Enedina Taqueria is now open at 3001 Telegraph Avenue, on the edge of the Elmwood neighborhood.

BURLINGAME — The third Bay Area location — and first on the Peninsula — of Portland-based ice cream shop Salt & Straw opened at 1309 Burlingame Avenue.

EMERYVILLE — There’s a new stall at the Public Market: NabiQ, simple menu of Korean meats with rice and vegetables.

BERKELEYIjo Izakaya is now open at 1463 Shattuck Avenue, the former Toyo Japanese Restaurant space.

CHINATOWN — Z & Y Restaurant has opened a sister restaurant, Z & Y Bistro, at 606 Jackson Street, with a sleek decor and mix of Chinese and Japanese dishes.

UNION SQUAREFreds San Francisco at Barneys New York is now open for power lunches on the sixth floor of the upscale department store at 77 O’Farrell.

BERKELEY — San Jose-based chain TZONE is open at 2328 Telegraph Avenue near the Cal campus with a menu of teas and fried snacks.

OAKLAND — A new It’s a Grind franchise opened in East Oakland at 2521 Seminary Avenue.

OAKLANDYammy’s Café & Deli is open in Old Oakland right by Swan’s Market at 542 9th Street. It offers Ethiopian dishes as well as American lunch standards.

WALNUT CREEK — Napa-based Heritage Eats has entered the East Bay with an eclectic, internationally-inspired menu of sandwiches, salads, and other casual fare. Find it at 12 Broadway Lane.

ALAMEDA — Hawaiian lunch plate spot Honolulu BBQ has arrived at 845 Marina Village Parkway.

WALNUT CREEK — San Diego’s Mike Hess Brewing has opened its first Bay Area location at 2313 Oak Grove Road.

SEPTEMBER 25

EMBARCADEROAngler, Joshua Skenes’s follow-up to his three-Michelin-starred restaurant Saison, is open at 132 The Embarcadero. It’s “sea-life” focused and a la carte.

OAKLANDPho U is open at 6200 Claremont Avenue, bringing pho and other Vietnamese eats to Rockridge.

INNER RICHMOND — A traditional Mongolian spot called Great Mongolia Nomads Restaurant has opened at 4828 Geary Boulevard. It also serves sushi for some reason.

MID-MARKET — The former Caffe Trinity space at 1145 Market Street is now La Cuisine Cafe.

FISHERMAN’S WHARFLefty’s Ballpark Buffet & Cafe is open at 145 Jefferson Street, Suite 400, in the former Rainforest Cafe space. It’s the bigger, buffet version of classic hofbrau Lefty O’Doul’s.

NORTH BEACH Barbara Pinseria and Cocktail Bar is specializing in pinsa, a regional precursor to pizza made with a lighter crust, while next door, Barbara Express is slinging Roman pizza al taglio. Both are open at 431 Columbus.

BERKELEYThe Bear’s Lair Tavern is back open at 2465 Bancroft Way after Oakland catering company the Red Door Group took over the business and brought on David Lawrence as consulting chef.

TENDERLOIN — Classic diner Mel’s Drive-In at 1050 Van Ness Avenue has transformed into Mel’s Kitchen, a swanky restaurant serving avocado toast and $12 cocktails.

FISHERMAN’S WHARF — Part of a new shipping container development, American restaurant Fire & Brew has opened at 81 Jefferson Street with a focus on burgers and beer.

BERKELEY — Milpitas-based rolled ice cream chain Icicles opened a location at 1812 University Avenue.

BERKELEYCupcakin’ Bake Shop relocated to 2391 Telegraph Avenue.

BERKELEYVeggie Grill, the largest vegan chain in the country, is open at 48 Shattuck Square in downtown Berkeley.

COW HOLLOW — Nikkei-style dining stars at Kaiyo, a Peruvian restaurant with Japanese flavors now open at 1838 Union Street.

INNER RICHMONDLovessy Asian Fusion & Souffles Bistro is now open at 832 Clement Street, specializing in Asian-influenced souffles for dessert.

MISSION BAYPizza Squared is serving Detroit- and Sicilian-style pizza at 885 Brannan Street.

OAKLANDFig & Poe Coffee Bar is open 396 11th Street with Equator coffee and Liege waffles.

BERKELEY — The Elmwood has a new acai bowl and smoothie spot in Palm Açai Cafe at 2929 College Avenue.

OAKLAND — Two-story cocktail bar the Payback Bar is now open at 1618 Franklin Street, in the former Oakland Rec Club space.

MISSION — After a six month hiatus for renovations, Taqueria Cancun (3211 Mission Street) is back is open.

OAKLAND — A new shared commercial kitchen called the Food Foundry has opened at 2818 MacArthur Boulevard. Diners can also call in Korean and Asian fusion takeout.

BAYVIEWTato, a casual Mexican restaurant from the owner of All Good Pizza, is now open at 4608 3rd Street

MISSION — Piri piri chicken emporium Piri Pica is open at 590 Valencia Street.

PLEASANTON — Growing Japanese ramen chain JINYA Ramen Bar opened its first East Bay location at 2693 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 103.

BERKELEY — Nautically-themed, Viet-Cajun spot aptly titled Bag O’ Crab is open at 2124 Center Street.

BERKELEY — Taiwan-based chain Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea is now open just across from the UC Berkeley campus at 2516 Bancroft Way.

TENDERLOIN — A venetian chef, Michele Bevilacqua, has a new restaurant called Dispensa Italian Charcoal Kitchen at 39 Taylor (at Turk). All the cooked dishes come out of the chef’s special X-Oven, an eco-friendly Italian oven that runs on green charcoal made from vegetable waste.

SAN MATEO Wursthall, a beer hall with hearty German and Austrian food from partners Adam Simpson, Tyson Mao, and food science writer Kenji López-Alt, has opened at 310 Baldwin Avenue.

CASTROHamburger Mary’s is open in the former Patio Space, finally offering a long-promised casual restaurant with a drag theme to Castro diners.

LOWER NOB HILL — The Krupa Hotel’s ground floor restaurant has changed hands from Thai Stick to a new restaurant called Lapisara.

CONCORDSuper Duper has opened in Concord, where it’s the first East Bay location of the better burger chain. It’s the 11th overall Super Duper location.

COW HOLLOW Bar Crenn, an eagerly anticipated wine bar accompaniment to Dominque Crenn’s Atelier Crenn, has arrived. “It’s my living room, where people can experience the best of the bes,” the chef says.

CASTRO Botellón, a restaurant from Andalé Management group, is softly opening in the space that was formerly Hecho.
