The most important thing is to be able to go above yourself -- to be able to separate yourself from your biased opinions and triangulate well with highly believable people to find out what's true and what to do about it.
Is not a matter of disappointment to compare principle for better goals
Thanks for the post! Good home truths for business and life, which challenge most of us, and which I found refreshing from a hedge-fund manager - not that I know any personally. Of course, our goals can be focused on others and not just ourselves. The interview with MarketWatch last year was also a good introduction to the man and the book, and I guess the focus on a "balanced" investment strategy makes sense given the size of the Bridgewater fund.
Thanks Ray! also read about this and how you critically ask questions and encourage the same with your team in the book 'Master the Game' by Tony Robbins
What Ray is so eloquently pointing at is the difference between when we are in Ego vs. Our Authentic Self. I teach how to do this because my greatest suffering came from me being in my Ego and not seeing everything subjectively, yet I didn’t know I was in Ego. 👌💖
Cool way to demo a book reading! What app are you using, please?
Ray Dalio I can highly relate and I am greatly inspired by your principles of radical truth and separating oneself from our biased opinions : Thank you! I hope one day to write you a long letter of how you have influenced my life and career, but for today, I just want to let you know one of your "Principles" quotes is front and center on our homepage of Hack Bias " www.hackbias.com . Thank you again for sharing your wisdom - Martina
